Day 27

Another sad day in another sad life. I sighed, waking up. I didn't want to bother to do anything. I got up and dressed. We didn't have practice this morning so I mean, less contact with the others. I then got ready for school once again as usual.

I made it to my homeroom classroom, where they announced that there was going to be a festival with each class. We had to come up with different ideas for this set day. After pondering through the class, people began to shout out ideas.

"How about a maid cafe?"

"Class 1-6 is already doing that."

"Uh, a horror booth?"

"Taken."

I finally spoke up.

"Why don't we do a play...the girl who loved until she couldn't love no more."

The class was silent, contemplating the idea.

"That's a good Idea Hinata-Kun. All in favour of doing the play?"

The majority of the class raised their hands, confirming that they were going to do the play. We spent time deciding on different roles people were going to play, scripts, costumes, etc.

"Alright, since Hinata-Kun suggested the idea, he should be Mizuki (the protagonist in the Hanahaki childhood tale)"

"Alright, I'll be Mizuki."

"Okay, who's going to be the man she loves?"

Kageyama and Tsukishima both said me at the same time.

"Oi, four eyes what did you say?"

"Tch, King, what does it mean to you?"

The boys glared at each other intensely.

"Stop it! If you both keep on bickering you're not going to get the role!"

The boys scoweled, calming down.

"Um...I can be Haru (the boy who Mizuki is madly in love with)," said Yamaguchi.

"Alright, it's settled, Hinata is Mizuki and Yamaguchi is Haru."

The roles were then decided.

Hinata -Mizuki

Yamaguchi - Haru

Tsukishima - Narrator 1

Kageyama - Narrator 2

The rest of the students had taken different roles such as director, props maker, background maker, costume maker, etc.

They were to present this at the festival next week.

Everyone began the production of the play, where they designed and practiced, til it was soon the weekend.

Day 24

24 days left to live, I chuckled. I headed towards the train station to head to Tokyo. I had told my mother I was to be spending the weekend over there with Kenma. She agreed, telling me to stay safe and be careful.

I had no clue to how I was going to hide it from him. He would notice my late dashing off to the bathroom to choke and cough...how would I tell him? I sighed, boarding the train, looking outside the window as I made my way to Tokyo. I fell asleep halfway through, before waking up at the stop.

Kenma was already waiting for Hinata's arrival at the train station. He had sat down on the bench, waiting for him to arrive.

Hinata got off the train, making his way off. He then spotted a very familiar pudding head across from the distance. "Kenma!"

"Shoyo!"

Hinata brought him into a tight embrace where they hugged. He gently nestled his head on Kenma's chest before breaking the hug and smiling sheepishly.

"Let's go!"

Kenma smiled, nodding before bringing Hinata back to his place.

Once they got to Kenma's house, they greeted his mother, where they then went up to Kenma's room. He sat down on his bed, patting the area beside him to gesture Hinata to sit down. Hinata smiled softly before plopping himself right beside Kenma. They both decided that they would be playing games for the night.

They hopped onto Kenma's PS5 where they began to game. They played for hours, laughing and giggling. They talked about their days, how it has been for them, considering how they live so very far away. After much chatter and such, it was time for bed.

Hinata laid down beside Kenma, smiling. Kenma had already fallen asleep by the time Shoyo got out of the shower. Hinata sighed, admiring one of the boy's he loved ever so dearly.

"I love you Ken Ken."

The other obviously didn't hear it, as he was passed out.

Hinata smiled softly, before heading out of his room to go to the bathroom. He began to choke and cough out yellow flower petals for Kenma. He sighed, flushing them down the toilet. He looked ragged, tired, pale, sick. He groaned, making his way back to Kenma's room.

He reassured himself that everything was going to be fine. It's alright Shoyo, you practically have 23 days left, it's fine, it'll be alright. He paced around the bathroom, before finally slapping himself on his face. "Get a grip Sho. You're better than this." He then got up and out of the bathroom, laying down beside the pudding head.

"If only you knew how much I loved you."

He sighed, his eyes meeting the ceiling. "If only you knew...how much I loved you."

Tears began to drip out of Hinata's eyes, streaming along his smooth pale cool face.

"If only you knew...how much I loved you."

It was barely louder than a whisper, sincerely a whisper, but oh how he wanted to scream those words directly at him.

"If only...I knew....how to tell you....that I love you..."

Hinata's chest rose and fell, his crys were muffled in the hand that covered his mouth. He turned to face Kenma, who was sleeping peacefully.

"I love you...I really do...If only you knew...How much I love you."

They said that they found a growth in his chest, the flowers bloomed, never here to rest. They said you have 30 days to live before you're dead. I wish that I could let all of my feelings out of my chest. If only you knew, if only I knew just how to tell you, to show you how much I love you.

With that, he closed his damp puffy red eyes, holding the hand of one of the love of his life.

Slowly he drifted off to sleep and soon, it became day 23.
