With the letters that Hinata wrote, there they were to be opened, the contents inside were to be spilled, so he shall not be forgotten.

The first victim of such pure tainted love has fallen; Oikawa Tooru.

Ah, Hello grand king! It's Hinata Shoyo here! By the time you've got this letter means that I am most certainly dead

Ah, Hello grand king! It's Hinata Shoyo here! By the time you've got this letter means that I am most certainly dead. The reason I am writing to you is for you to find out. I know it might be sad, but please, grand king, I know you'll figure it out.

It may have been sad to see me gone, but I do hope that you can live happily! I wrote this to you because I have so many things left to say. The last month I had to live was...interesting, incredible, and full of bliss. There are just a few things I regret, which is why I'm telling you this...

Grand King. Oikawa Tooru. I, Hinata Shoyo, absolutely adore you. I always have, I always will. They say love can kill, and they were right. Love does kill. It's hilarious that what seems so pure can tear you right apart. But it's going to be alright. Grand King, I've learnt so much with this last month of my life. I've learnt to not be selfish, not to have greed. I've learnt that if I love someone, the best thing I could do is let them be happy...even if it's without me.

So, what I'm trying to say is, Yes. I love you Tooru. I do, I absolutely do. I have loved and I have lost this war, but I want you to keep fighting. You can do it, I know. People come and go, people change, you know. But please, as my last, final, and grand goodbye, please promise me that you'll be happy even if it's without me.

~ Love Chibi-Chan

Oikawa gently folded the letter back up, sliding it back into the envelope. Inside, dried petals of flowers fell down, representing the love Hinata had. Oikawa slid down against the wall, his head slamming against it. Tears sobbed as he covered his eyes with his hand.

"DAMN IT SHOYO! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER?"

Oikawa wailed out into the emptiness of his apartment. His hands clutching onto the letter he received from his sunshine. Inside the letter was another small little polaroid of the two together.

He clutched onto the photo as if his life depended on it

He clutched onto the photo as if his life depended on it. He never was going to hear him again. He was never going to be able to see his radiant smile. He was never going to be able to hold him close, hug him, or tell him that he too also loved him.

Oikawa was never going to see Shoyo again. He knew that. He knew that even with every particle of his being, he could never get his sweet beloved sunshine back. Oikawa picked up the phone, dialling Shoyo's number. It rung, and rung, and rung again.

"You have reached the voice mailbox of...."

"HINATA SHOYO," a voice screamed.

Oikawa chuckled ever so softly, as he began to weep. There it was again, his voice.

"I'm sorry I'm very busy-NATSU! PUT THAT DOWN-"

Oikawa smiled, as he heard the sunshine's voice once again.

"GAH! I'M SORRY, I'M NOT AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW! PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE-"

and it cuts out.

Oikawa called, Hinata's mother, asking if she could keep Hinata's phone number, and even offered to pay the bill. She smiled sadly, nodding in agreement. Oikawa thanked her, before hanging up the phone once more. And then again, he called, again, and again, and again.

"You have reached the voice mailbox of...."

"HINATA SHOYO!"

Beep-

You have reached...

Beep.

"NATSU! PUT THAT DOWN-"

Beep.

"GAH!"

Beep.

"PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE-"

Beep.

Oikawa sadly, stopped calling the number, his hand slumped. He had been going at it for hours, wanting to hear his voice over and over again. He looked back down at the polaroid, gently caressing his thumb against Hinata's face. Wet, supple tear drops fell, landing on the ever so happy picture.

Oikawa clutched his chest, holding on tightly, reminiscing his memories. He waved down the sunshine happily.

"Yahoo~ Chibi chan!"

"Grand King!"

Hinata ran into his arms, jumping happily. Oikawa smiled, hugging him tightly and spinning him around.

"Grand King Grand King!"

The voice of Hinata began to corrupt, sounding as if he was possessed.

"Why didn't you love me back?"

Black ink oozed out of Hinata's eye sockets, "Huh? Grand King? Why didn't you love me back?"

Oikawa gulped, his hands shook, "N-no! I d-do love you back!"

He woke up in cold sweat, his heart heavy. He looked beside his bedside table, looking at the polaroid that was now framed. He wept ever so softly. "I did love you, Chibi-chan...and I still do."

Every night, he would have the exact same nightmare. "Grand King, Grand KING!"

Again, and again, he felt as if maybe if he told him sooner, he would still be here.

And he woke again, his gaze was blurred, head against the wall. He knew that Hinata wasn't here anymore. He was never going to wake up again. He was never going to see his smile again, to see him jump up and down with energy. He was never going to hold him again, feel his soft orange locks between his fingers. He was never going to have him. He never has had him and never will have him.

But little did he know on the back of the polaroid, was another message from his sunshine.

To my grand king who I absolutely adore, please be happy without me, please find love that's pure.

xoxo Shoyo
