Ch. 3

Skylar was leaning against his mother's car looking at his phone when he felt a hand on his shoulder ''Sky'' his mother's voice came from behind him.

''Can we go'' he asked, turning around to her.

''Sweetie, what is wrong'' she asked crossing her arms ''That guy seems to have taken a liking to you, as well as his son.''

Skylar shook his head ''That's the thing'' he leaned back on the car ''He has a kid and he is like what, in his late thirties or forties.''

''I'm thirty-three, in fact'' a deep voice spoke from the other side of the car.

Skylar jumped and turned to find Hunter standing there with his hands in his pockets looking at them both. Skylar bit his lip as he looked back at him ''I...I didn't mean to offend you'' he said.

Hunter gave him a smile as he moved over towards him ''It's alright'' he said ''I only came over here to apologize to about Mylo.''

Skylar moved over to him shaking his head ''No'' he said ''He is just fine. Kids are normally drawn to me. He is just to cute.''

''Well, normally he isn't like that'' Hunter turned to look back at Mylo who held Nik's hand ''Usually he only speaks with me, Nik or my other friend Tristan.'' He turned back to Skylar ''It surprised me that he went over to you.''

''Well as I told him, as long as it's ok with you he can come by the shop anytime to see me'' Skylar smiled.

Hunter nodded ''As long as you are ok with it as well.''

Hunter then turned and started to leave which gave Skylar a slight uneasy feeling as well. He tightened his fits as he bit hard into his lip. Something inside of him told him to run after him. It wasn't till his mother walked over and gave him a look of 'Go'. Skylar nodded to her as he took off after him.

''Hunter wait'' Skylar called out as he grabbed a hold of his arm.

Hunter turned and looked down at him with a confused look ''Something wrong'' he asked, moving closer to Skylar.

Skylar stood there a moment not sure what to say at first as they both looked at each other ''Skylar, what's wrong'' Hunter asked, only to reach up with his free hand, placing it against his cheek. He gently rubbed his thumb over it ''You can tell me.''

''Y....You'' Skylar stuttered as he looked down trying to hide the slight blush that rose on his cheeks ''You can also come by.''

Hunter smiled ''Are you sure? I would hate to make you feel uncomfortable.''

Skylar nodded ''I'm sure'' he said as he looked back up at him.

Just then Mylo ran over and grabbed a hold of Skylar's leg ''You can come as long as Mylo is with you'' Skylar said smiling as he bent down and picked Mylo up.

Mylo laughed as he hugged Skylar around his neck ''I want to see Sky every day.''

Both Hunter and Skylar laughed as Mylo still clung to him ''Well then, how about we stop by on Monday after school'' Hunter asked looking at Mylo.

''YAY'' Mylo shouted in excitement.

Skylar laughed more and shook his head as he nuzzled against Mylo. Hunter stood there watching the two of them with a smile on his face, till he noticed a couple of girls laughing and standing there in front of them.

''I'm sorry'' one girl said walking over to them ''I didn't mean to stare. I just couldn't help but think how cute of a family you are.'' She pulled out a card and handed it over to Hunter ''You see I run an LGBT+ magazine and I would love to take a photo of your family for it. We are going around taking photos oh same sex families for the center of the magazine.''
