Ch. 4

After dinner, Skylar went to his room and took a shower. Once he was done, he changed into his sleep clothes and was sitting on his bed looking through music, when his phone went off from a text message. Looking at his phone, he wondered who would be messaging him this late at night. He reached over and picked up his phone, only to find a message from an unknown number.

Unknown: Hey, this is Hunter.

A small smile crossed Skylar's lips when he read the message. Leaning back against the wall Skylar added his number in his contacts.

Skylar: Hey.

Hunter: I didn't wake you did I?

Skylar: No. I just got out of the shower and now I'm sitting on my bed.

Hunter: I see. Well I just wanted to apologize for today once again.

Skylar shook his head as he reached over and turned off his lamp and moved to lay down.

Skylar: And as I said, it's ok.

Hunter: Well, I'll let you get to sleep. Sweet dreams.

Skylar: And to you as well.

Skylar bit his lip and let out a soft sigh as he locked his phone and placed it next to him on the bed. For some reason, Skylar felt more relaxed. It had only been three months since he left Ryan, but to him it had felt a lot longer. Shaking that thought from his mind once more, Skylar snuggled into his bed and closed his eyes.

The next few weeks went better than Skylar could hope for. Work was great and all the customers loved him. Even Dean, who was Luca's business partner, loved having Skylar around. And as promised, Hunter would bring Mylo by the shop after school to see him. When Mylo was there, Skylar would take his break and spend time with them both in the upstairs loft.

One day as Skylar was working, Luca came over and gently tapped him on the shoulder ''Sky'' he said softly.

Skylar turned and looked at him ''What's up?''

Luca let out a sigh as he looked down ''Umm, I don't know if I should show you this or not'' he gripped something tightly in his hands as he spoke.

''I'll show him myself'' a voice said from behind Skylar causing him to turn.

When he looked he saw that both Hunter and Nik were standing there, but Mylo was nowhere to be found ''What is going on'' he asked, moving towards Hunter.

''The magazine came out today'' he said, handing it over to him.

''We knew it would come out soon'' Skylar took it from him as he walked over, placed it on the counter and started to go through it.

Skylar stood there for the longest time not saying a word as he looked at their photo ''CEO Hunter and his husband Skylar with their child Mylo, after spending time with Skylar's mother Ella'' Skylar read out loud ''Husbands?''

''Look, you don't need to worry about this'' Hunter said moving over to him ''I will call her and set things straight.''

Skylar shook his head as he turned and looked at him ''It's fine'' he said giving him a soft smile ''I'm sure no one will even notice.''

''Not so sure about that'' Luca spoke up pointing to the front door ''There are reporters outside. I mean Hunter is someone kind of important and for him to have something like this out there is a big deal.''

Hunter walked over to Skylar and placed a hand on his cheek ''Do not worry'' he said ''I will take care of everything.'' He pulled Skylar close into a gentle hug ''I won't let anyone hurt you. Also Nik will be picking you up and taking you home till everything is done.''
