Ch. 19

As they drove along, Skylar said nothing as he looked out the window. Even when Ryan tried to talk with him, Skylar just ignored him. He didn't want to speak with him. He didn't want anything to do with him. The only reason he was even in this car to start with was so that Mylo stayed safe. Skylar wanted to cry, scream and even yell, but he had to stay calm. Gripping his bag tightly, Skylar just kept his eyes out the window.

Ryan would look over at him now and then as he tried to talk to him ''Sky'' he said ''Sky are you listening.''

''No'' Skylar said, being honest.

Laughing, Ryan just shook his head ''This, this is why I love you so much'' he said ''You're honest.''

''You love me'' Skylar asked confused as he finally turned and looked at him ''You call this love?''

''Of course I do'' Ryan said ''Why else would I have come to get you?''

Skylar reached over and hit him ''You stopped loving me a long time ago'' he snapped ''If you loved me, you would have never cheated on me. You would have never allowed anyone else to touch me. You would not have abused me the way you did. I left because of you. This is your fault.''

Ryan pulled over to the side and stopped the car then reached over and took hold of Skylar's hands ''Sky stop'' he said softly ''Please stop it. I was wrong and I know that. I should have never let those things happen and I should not have done them. I'm sorry.''

Skylar pulled his hands away from him as he sat there crying ''No, I will not forgive you that easily'' he said.

Without thinking, Skylar grabbed his bag and jumped out of the car. Cars drove past as Skylar tried to get away from Ryan who also jumped out the car trying to stop Skylar from trying to cross the busy road.

''Sky'' Ryan shouted as he held onto his arms tightly ''Sky stop. You can get hurt.''

''I would rather die, then to ever go back with you'' Skylar shouted as he tried his best to pull away.

Ryan looked at him confused ''Am I that bad'' he asked.

''Yes'' Skylar started to cry ''When are you going to learn that I don't love you anymore. I'm in love with Hunter.''

''I can give you everything he did'' Ryan said as they still struggled ''I can give you a family. I can do everything he did and more.''

Skylar shook his head ''No you can't'' he replied.

Ryan growled ''Why him'' he yelled ''Why him and not me?''

''Because'' Skylar smiled ''You're not him. He has never once forced me to do anything I didn't want to do. He never once forced me to be with him. He always knows when I'm hurt or upset and he always does his best to make up for it.''

Ryan stood there listening to him and as Skylar talked, he could tell that no matter what he did Skylar would never love him anymore. Unable to stand it anymore Ryan finally knew what he had to do.

''Fine'' he said as he moved Skylar close to the road ''You want to die, so be it.''

He quickly shoved Skylar into the road just as a car came. The car tried to stop in time, but it was no use. The moment the car hit Skylar, Ryan quickly jumped in his car and drove off leaving him laying there blood and not moving. Skylar laid there and watched as Ryan sped away. He was almost laughing when the driver of the car that hit him jumped out. It wasn't long after he heard an ambulance coming.

He did his best to stay awake and talking as he was being taken to the hospital. Over and over again, Skylar told them to call his parents and Hunter. He even told them his phone was in his bag. But all they would do is tell him to stay calm and relax. They had even had to give him a sedative so that he stayed calm. Once they arrived at the hospital, they took him straight back to surgery.
