Three Months Later

It had been three months since Skylar left Ryan and moved back home. He had also dropped out of University and got a new phone and number. Skylar was surprised by how well he was handling everything. There were some nights he felt lonely, but other nights he felt relaxed and at peace. He wasn't having to listen to Ryan and his sex buddies. He wasn't being abused. He was able to go where he wanted and do as he pleased. He would spend his time either playing games at an internet café and he liked visiting the town library in order to read whatever he could get his hands on.

It was a bright Saturday morning when his mother walked into his room ''Hey'' she said as she watched him on the computer.

Skylar turned and smiled at her ''Hey.''

''I was just about to head out to do some grocery shopping'' she smiled at him ''Wanna go with me? We can stop by this cute little coffee shop that just opened up a couple years ago. I think you would really like it.''

Skylar nodded as he stood ''Sure, just let me get dress.''

''Meet me downstairs when you are done'' she tapped on the door then walked off leaving him standing there alone.

Skylar let out a sigh and shrugged as he walked over to the closet and started to go through his clothes. Since he had been home, he had bought a lot of new clothes that Ryan would have never let him wear. He reached into the closet and pulled out a black pair of shorts that when he put them on seemed a bit too short for him. Skylar then pulled off the tank top he had on then once again reached into the closet and pulled out a black long sleeve shirt that when he put it on, one side hung off his left shoulder while the bottom of the shirt covered the shorts, so it looked as if he had nothing on. Closing the closet, Skylar walked over to his dresser and pulled out a pair of black and purple striped thigh high stockings.

Looking in his mirror, Skylar sighed as he knew Ryan would have never allowed him to wear things that showed his body off to others. Smiling, he rushed into the bathroom where he fixed his hair and put some eyeliner on. Before leaving his room, Skylar grabbed his phone and wallet, placing them in his back pockets. He then reached down next to his door and picked up a pair of black calf high boots that hugged his legs tightly.

The way he looked most people would make fun of him, for looking the way he did, but to Skylar and his parents, he was fully normal. This was who he was. Standing at five-two, he had a very slim form for a boy. Even wet, he would weigh nothing more than one hundred thirty-five pounds. He was small in height and small in frame, which neither really bothered him. His mother always said he was cute from the moment he was born.

''Sky'' his mother yelled from the bottom of the stairs ''Sky come on.''

Skylar jumped as he grabbed his keys and ran out of his room and down the stairs. When his mother saw him she just smiled and laughed shaking her head. He hugged her around her waist as they headed out the front door. Skylar and his mother laughed and talked as they drove down the street towards the grocery store. Once they were finished with the shopping, his mother pulled him along towards a coffee shop just across the road from the store. The closer they got to the shop the more Skylar got excited. It was a cute little thing with vines that covered one side of the shop.

''This place is so cute'' Skylar said as he looked around.

His mother laughed more ''Just wait till you see the back garden.''

She gently pulled open the door only to have a large whiff of coffee and cakes hit Skylar in the face. He smiled big as he took a deep breath. He started to bounce around. To the people in the shop, he must have seemed like a kid, but he was a grown adult. His mother shook her head as she made her way to the counter. Skylar was too busy to looking around. There was a large outdoor garden that held a few seats. It was sectioned off from the main lobby by huge floor to ceiling glass folding doors that were open wide, due to it being a nice day. Looking more, there was an upstairs loft that seemed to only be closed off.
