Today I miss her.
I miss her and the way she covered my eyes with her hands.
I miss her
I miss her and the way she didn't
understand.
The way the joke went over her head
Even if you explained it
She still didn't get it, despite what she said.I miss her
I miss her and all her trust.
stupid heart in her small hands,
Palms open, eyes squeezed shut.I miss her
I miss her and all the puzzle pieces in her pockets.
The swing of her light arms
And her empty locket.She disappeared
Gone away for good.
While my head was turned,
She ran into the woods.I didn't feel her hand slip from mine.
I didn't realize how she had protected me
How she had covered my eyes.Today I miss her
more than I thought I would.
