This hunt was risky from the beginning, and you're just now realizing that. You can't stay here anymore so it's time to move on. However, you and Dean are the only ones packing.
"Well, we know that this is a monster with opposable thumbs and unlimited text messaging, and we know that it wants to kill you specifically. Does that about cover it?" Dean says as he works.
"It's an Arachne," Sam sighs.
"A what? Do not tell me this is a giant spider," you state.
"I remembered it," he whispers.
"Remembered? Sam, what else have you remembered?" you ask, pausing your packing to deal with him.
"Don't worry, alright? It's nothing to do with Hell," he stutters.
"Uh-huh. Not yet, anyway," Dean scoffs.
"What can I do, Dean? The stuff is just starting to come back, alright? Maybe it's natural."
"We're leaving," you determine.
"No, we can't."
"Sam!" you exclaim. "We are not the only hunters on the planet, okay? We can call my dad. He and Rufus could come and wrap up."
"How? Like you said, it could be anybody, and we got jack for leads."
"We know that it hates you."
"I know who did this. I just can't remember."
"I don't think you get the risk here, Sam," Dean sighs.
"Yes, I do."
"Really? You get that every time you scratch that wall, that you are playing Russian roulette?"
"Guys, I get you're worried, okay? I know what you think is gonna happen, but you know what? It will or it won't. I'm starting to think that I might have done some bad stuff here. So I don't care if it's dangerous. I have to set things right, 'cause I got a fucking soul now, and it won't let me just walk away. I'm staying here, and I need you two to back me up."
"Alright. Why not? Let's 'memento' this thing, shall we?"
"This isn't a good idea," you mutter.
However, whatever they want, you'll do. It's not like you're going to leave on your own and have them fend for themselves. Instead of leaving, you three pin all the evidence to try and jog Sam's memory. It's not safe, but this is Sam's decision, and he wants to help them. There isn't a lot to go on, so you're just relying on Sam's memory to fill in the blanks.
When you three headed up here, Sam got all weird in the car and passed it off as if it were nothing. Well, the same thing happens now, and it only occurs to you that he was remembering where he was from the start. Sam gets a nasty headache as the memories come back to him, but he remembers.
"I know what happened."
"Are you going to tell us?" you ask.
"I used Roy as bait to trap the monster. I killed it, but everyone else was just collateral damage, I guess. I shot everyone and set the place on fire," he finishes with a whisper.
"That wasn't you," Dean says.
"Stop saying that, please, because it was me," Sam sighs. "Was I this bad with you?"
You look at Sam, wondering if you should tell him the truth. He knows what he did to you, so he may as well know the other things he did.
"Yeah," you nod.
"What are you gonna say to Brenna?" Dean wonders.
Sam takes out his phone and dials Brenna's number. He holds up his finger to silence Dean while he talks to Brenna.
