Yoongi opens the door to his brother just as the other members are heading out to the van. He looks like absolute shit, his clothes are wrinkled, his hair is a mess and he has dark circles under his eyes. He stumbles in the doorway. He might even still be drunk.
"Hyung, let me get you upstairs and then I need to go," he says, opening the door to him. The others watch from the van as he holds up one finger to tell them to wait a minute. Namjoon nods and gets into the front seat.
He helps Hyun-woo into the apartment. He looks around at the mess the boys left from breakfast and says to him,
"What a bunch of pigs you are. You need to get yourself a woman, she will take care of all this mess for you," he slurs his words a little.
"We do chores ourselves. We just didn't have time this morning, we have a meeting to go to." He leads him toward the bedroom, helping to support his weight. "What's happened with Yumi?" he asks tentatively, unsure if his brother is a reliable source at this point in time. His brother waves his hand in front of his face dismissing the idea of her.
"She's a bitch," he says cruelly. Yoongi stops walking as his brother steps into their room.
"My bunk is by the window on top," he says, thinking about the sting of his words. His brother looks at the ladder to climb and turns around, swaying a little.
"I'll just sleep right here." He plops down onto Jin's single bed at the base of the row of bunks. He begins to remove his shoes and drop them to the floor, being too disoriented to have left them at the door.
"Why is Yumi a bitch hyung? What's happened?" He finds it hard to say those words about her and can't believe his brother used them.
"Do you know, I asked her to marry me? Did you know that?" The confession shocks Yoongi. He had no idea his brother was even considering it, particularly with how often he goes out without her. He sits next to his brother dumbfounded.
"What- what did she say?" he asks unsure if he wants to know the answer.
"She told me she couldn't marry me because I had too many girlfriends." He laughs at the idea and shakes his head.
"You're cheating on her again?" he asks.
"It's not like I love these other girls, they're just, there."
"They will always be there hyung, but if you love Yumi you don't go off with them." He can't believe he has to tell him this. His brother lays back across Jin's bed.
"Aish! what do you know about it, you've never had a real girlfriend," he says mirroring the words Yoongi spoke to Jungkook.
"I know that if you love someone, you don't cheat on them and hurt them," he says standing up, angry. He looks down at his brother, nearly asleep already, so disheveled and laying the wrong way on Jin's bed. "Look, sleep it off but I have to go, I don't know when I'll be back but you should clean up, and call her." He looks to see if his brother acknowledges his words as he steps back to the doorway.
He hears the text alert on his phone and he checks it to see if it's Yumi. It's Namjoon telling him to hurry up. He bounds out of the door to join the others in the waiting van. He jumps into the back seat of the van next to Jin. Jin looks at him, waiting for him to explain, when he doesn't, he asks,
"Is something going on Yoongi?"
"Yeah my brother is drunk and sleeping it off," he offers. Jin nods.
"Well I hope he doesn't get sick on your bed." Jin laughs loudly.
"You should hope that, because he fell asleep on your bed Jin." He smirks at Jin whose expression drops. He turns away silently.
He makes excuses for his brothers drunken state to the others and he sits in the back of the van thinking about Yumi. Thinking about what it means that she's refused his proposal. Does it mean she's throwing him out? Does it mean they're still together? He wishes he could ask her. He wishes she would respond to his last message. He doesn't want to let on that he knows about the proposal. Maybe it would embarrass her. But he wants to comfort her. He wants to be with her. He sighs heavily, his thoughts weighing on him.
He tries hard to focus on the meeting but he keeps checking his phone and getting distracted. He's not heard from his brother or Yumi. He wonders if he should just text Yumi and tell her he's safe at his, sleeping it off, but then he doesn't want to get in the middle of it. In truth, he doesn't want to upset her or embarrass her. He wants her to feel happy when she sees a message from him, only happy. He knows she must be at work anyway.
He puts his phone aside and makes eye contact with Namjoon who is watching him concerned. They have several hours of work to do at the company, wardrobe fittings and fan service, and his mind, for once isn't focused on any of it. Namjoon pulls him aside as the meeting ends and they're taken down to the fitting rooms for wardrobe.
"Are you OK Suga?" he asks in a dad voice. Even though he's younger, he has a great dad voice. Yoongi looks to see if any of the other members are around.
"Not really. I'm sorry I'm distracted. Again," he offers.
"Hey, it's family. That's more important. Is there anything you can do to help?"
"I'm not sure. I think my brother has messed it up for good now." He lowers his head as Jungkook walks by, he looks back at him smiling, a sympathetic smile, as though he understands.
"After we get done here, if you need to cut out, I'll explain to the others." He nods in thanks to Namjoon. Jungkook circles back around after Namjoon leaves. It's unusual for the Maknae to be so forthright with him, but apart from Namjoon, he's the only other person who knows what's going on, or knows part of what's going on. Yoongi looks up waiting for him to speak.
"Will you be OK? Even if they aren't," he asks, showing concern.
"I guess I have to be. I don't know how I thought this would end. I guess I just didn't want to think about it." He frowns a little. Jungkook wraps his arm over the Hyung and walks with him toward the fitting room to join the others.
