Just tell me what happened Chidera pleaded with her ,I kept my hands folded and didn't see her lunge form my hair, until I felt a burst of pain through my roots,I screamed and tried to shove her off ne but she had a firm grip,I kept on screaming until somebody pulled her off me.
How dare you put that on my bed she screamed, how dare you put my shoes in a toilet you wicked witch, who said I was the one who put it there she retorted angrily, I rolled my eyes at her,I know and everybody knows you did it, as she was about to respond the prefect entered and asked what was going on. We looked at eachother, stared more like, for what seemed like forever before Lydia responded nothing!.
So why are you gathered there?
Jessie was just gisting us funny stuff about her old school, lydia swiftly responded.  We both knew what would happen if we were caught fighting and I really wasn't ready to weed the hostel and fill the drums in the bathroom . The prefect kept quiet for a while before she replied all of you should get ready for dining, it's almost time, and Jessie come here.
The little crowd dispersed and I walked towards the prefect, why do you look as though I'd beat you she asked and smiled, nothing i said with my head a bit down,she laughed and said okay,i want you to be my bunkmate so after dining you'll pack your stuff and come here,okay senior Kemi, thank you, and I walked of quietly to meet a fuming Chidera and an all too happy Sharon , why did you put it on her bed for Gods sake, couldn't you put it in her bunk side or something else, I honestly dunno I replied, the bed was the only thing that came to my mind,I shrugged, Sharon excitedly tapped me and said when I gave you that awesome speech, I thought you'd just report her to senior Kemi or something, you crazy ass bitch, she giggled, wait why didn't you just straight up tell me to report her, I replied I blame you, Chidera was still glaring at me, I asked her why she muttered stuff about me being a lousy person, don't you realise that she was lousy first,I just gave back what she gave, but you slapped her first,and for what,she called you "black face" aren't you black or you're not happy with your skin, aren't you glad that you're that beautiful and could even model with your height and hair, you'd have been the bigger person but you joined her to be immature, at that moment my heart sank and I felt really bad for her,cause she'd have to throw out her sheets and change her bed,I was glad i didn't put it on her blanket at least.i heard Sharon telling her to leave me alone, she asked if i heard shoes to wear for dinner and I said no, Chidera pulled out extra from her box and gave me,she said something about her mum buying stuff in twos, I told her thanks and apologised.
At least you won't have trouble from me i said sadly, what do you mean? Senior Kemi said I should move to her bunk side,ohh well you're lucky then she replied, at least Lydia won't do anything to you since you will be with senior Kemi,oh thank God I thought to myself.
Dining was a dull affair, the prefects kept on going round asking everybody to keep quiet and they were punishing everybody who dared move their lips so I just laid my head on the table while I considered how I'd pay for her sheets and how I'd get new shoes because I hate to borrow.
I felt somebody tap me, I thought it was Hyelni, but I looked up to see one of the prefects that was bawling earlier, I wondered if I spoke my thoughts out loud and I thought he was going to punish me but he just asked if he could sit down beside me for a while so he'd monitor our side of the dining, I nodded and put my head back on the table, it was soon time to pray and I saw that the food was swallow again, I was already getting tired of eating foods I didn't like, but I remembered my mum's warning to me about getting ulcer because of my bad eating habits, so I ate at least half of the meal, when dining was over, I went to meet Lydia, at first she kept on snarling like a lion, I thought she'd bite me, but I stood my ground and asked if we could talk privately, she said no, talking about needing witnesses and some shit,I just told her I was going to pay for her sheets if she paid for my shoes,she seemed astounded, I'm sure she expected more of a fight, no she said I don't want you to pay ,do you know how special these sheets are ,she went on and on about how they were gifts from her first school mother and stuff,when she was done, I responded about how my shoes were real Italian leather and my mum would eat my head the moment I told her something was wrong with them, we stared at eachother for a while until a junior student tapped me and said, one senior is calling you outside.
