My heels tap against the pavement in a rhythmic type sound. I rub my sweaty palms against my pencil skirt. I unknowingly play with the end of the sleeves of my cream-colored, blouse. I've never been more nervous in my entire life. I mean it's not like I'm working at the most well-known fashion company.
I stop and take a deep breath before looking up at the sky-high, glass, beauty. It's sleek design matching the fashion that's created here. Many of the most well-known fashion designers, models, singers, actors, and actresses, have all worn a piece or pieces that were designed by these very people working within those large glass doors.
I give myself a quick pep talk before descending into the fashion world. A fresh earthy smell is the first thing to invade my nostrils. I walk up to the main desk. The receptionist looks up at me once I reach the desk. She smiles welcomingly at me. Her glossy black hair pulled up into a sleek and clean bun.
"Hello. How may I help you?" She asks in almost a robotic tone.
"Uhm. I was told to meet with Mr. Choi Soobin about my job." I say.
"Could I please have your name?" She says.
"Lee Jinah," I say. She nods before looking down at her computer and typing a few things in. She writes something down on a piece of paper before looking up at me and handing me the paper.
"His office is on the 29th floor. Give that paper to the receptionist on that floor and she'll show you to his office." She says. I nod with a smile.
"Thank you. Also, may I get your name?" I ask. She smiles with a nod.
"Minatozaki Sana,"
"Oh. You're Japanese." She nods. "I learned Japanese in high school," I speak fluently. She gasps while covering her mouth with her hand.
"Your pronunciation is remarkable." She praises. I shake my head.
"It's not. But thank you." I say. She waves off my comment. "Well, I better get up there. Have a nice day, Sana." She smiles and wishes me the best of luck.
I step into the elevator. A man in a sleek, clean suit, with blackout sunglasses, stands calmly in the elevator. I nervously stand next to him after hitting the button for the 29th floor.
I stand there awkwardly fiddling with my sleave. I glance at him a few times. I get this such strong aura around him. I have a feeling he's very important in this company.
"Are you new?" He says, startling me a bit.
"Uhm. Yes. It's my first day." I admit with a slight chuckle. He nods his head.
