The cold nips at my exposed legs as I make my way through the empty sidewalk

The cold nips at my exposed legs as I make my way through the empty sidewalk. The streets less busy since I'm getting to work an hour earlier than most people. An older man with a welcoming smile nods his head towards me in a friendly motion. I give a small smile with a nod in return.

I should've just took a cab. My feet are already killing me and I've only walked about two blocks. My hair that had fallen loose from my ponytail whips through the wind that is beating against my cheeks. I sigh happily upon seeing the company building slowly coming upon me.

Walking through the door I look at the receptionist desk and see a very tired-looking Sana. I walk up to her with a smile. She notices me walking towards her. Her face turns from shock, to confused, then to a questioning look. I raise my eyebrow at her.

"What're you doing here this early?" Sana asks.

"Mr. Choi said that I'll be coming in an hour early for the next week or so," I answer. "What about you?"

"I'm always here at this time. But I'm usually more livelier than this. It's just my daughter wouldn't let me sleep in and my husband is with his mom helping taking care of his dad." She sighs while rubbing the dark circles under her eyes that are still visible through the freshly applied makeup.

"Is your father-in-law okay? Was it anything seriously life-threatening?" I ask her while becoming more concerned.

Sana and I have talked a lot since I started working here. She says it's nice to be able to speak in her language for once at work. We've hung out a bit outside of work. She brings her daughter Nana with her. Truly a cute little girl. I guess her husband is a pretty well-known figure in the public eye so Sana goes by her maiden name when she works. But their daughter has the father's last name.

"He fell and hurt his hip so Ren is helping out until he's able to do stuff on his own again. Ren's mom would help, but she had knee surgery three weeks ago so she's no help right now." She sighs while pouting. "I wanted to go with him to help, plus then his parents would get to see Nana. But Ren told me to just stay home and he'll worry about them." I put a hand on Sana's shoulder and shake them comfortingly. She looks up and smiles.

"I'm just so tired." Sana chokes out. I make my way around the receptionist desk and pull Sana into a comforting hug. She relaxes into the hug and whimpers. "I just wanna go home and sleep." She whispers into my shoulder.

"I know, I know," I say while rubbing her back. I pull her away while keeping my arms securely on her shoulders. I smile at her when an idea pops into my head. "Sana, you know Yeji from the show team on floor 26 right?" She looks at me and nods her head while sniffling.

"Well, this is completely up to you. But if you want, I can see if Yeji would be willing to watch Nana for a few hours while I take you to get a massage, pedicure, manicure, and just get you all pampered in general. We'll have a girls' day and you'll get your much-desired rest." She looks at me shocked before a fresh round of tears build in her eyes. I chuckle.
