One Year Later
My eyes travel over my figure in the full-length mirror placed in front of me. I smile at my black pencil skirt and red blouse. I slip my feet in the heels before turning back to the mirror and sighing. It's been a year since I've actually been at the office for work. With my leg therapy and my regular therapy sessions for my nightmares; I haven't exactly had the time to attend work regularly. Also, Yeonjun wouldn't allow me to come into work until the doctor and my therapist said it was okay.
Which thankfully they cleared me for in-office work. Although to be very frank, I'm extremely nervous. I've been working with Minghao a lot in the past year. He's been showing me more in-depth details on the design floor so I'll be ready if I ever decide I want to work on that floor. I obviously have to work my way to that point.
Yeonjun isn't too on board with me working on the design floor cause then he can't just see me whenever he wants to. I'll be on a completely different floor than him. Rather than the same room as him. I told him to suck it up and write down his complaints in his "Man Diary" as he calls it.
Suddenly two arms encircle my waist. I sigh while leaning my head back. I close my eyes and smile. "Nervous?" Yeonjun asks in a whisper. I nod my head. "You'll do just fine, Kitten," He says before placing a soft kiss on my neck. I giggle before turning around and hugging him. I bury my face into his chest and breathe in slowly. His cologne invading my nose. "Did you just smell me?" He chuckles. I nod my head.
"You smell nice," I breathe out. He laughs while rubbing my back.
"I have one more question," He asks while cupping my face and pulling it up so that I have eye contact with him. His dark eyes stare quietly at me. The silence filling the room. "Are you more nervous for today? Or are you more nervous for next month?" He asks while swiping his thumb over my bottom lip.
Ah yes, next month. I bring my hands up and grab his hands gently. My thumbs rubbing against his skin. He looks at my face for any sort of answer to his question. I smile softly before placing my left hand in front of his face. "Next month baby," I say while rubbing my thumb on the beautiful engagement ring on my finger. He smiles but it quickly turns into a frown. He pulls away from me and starts pacing around the room. I sigh while crossing my arms over my chest.
"What if we're moving too fast? Isn't it way too soon to get married? What if you figure out I'm not that good of a guy and you decide you don't wanna spend the rest of your life with me?" He continues to ramble on while pacing nervously. Running his hands through his hair as he stares at himself in a mirror. "What if I screw up?" He asks while turning towards me with glossed-over eyes and a pout.
I sigh while walking over to him and grabbing his hands. I lead him to the bed and sit us both down. I continue to hold his hands in my own. He looks at me nervously. "Yeonjun, everything will be fine. And my nervousness for next month isn't bad. I'm excited nervous. I'm excited and happy for next month. Nothing will change that." I say with a softer tone. "Also, I know you won't do something stupid. You're too whipped for me," I say while flicking my hair over my shoulder. He chuckles while pulling me into his chest.
