I nervously walked over to the barn, every step was a step closer to Mustang, it was also a step closer to me revealing the secret. I could see the old barn in my line of vision, my heart raced, it was practically beating out of my chest at this point.

There was a small light coming from under the door, was Mustang already here? I slid the large door open and was greeted by the Colonel, he was seated on one of the large hay bales near the back.

"Hello Lieutenant." Mustang said with a cold stare, his face was normal, for now.

"Hello." I said respectfully, I couldn't believe that I had actually agreed to this.

I sat down on a hay bale that was on the other side of the barn, I took of my jacket and focused my attention back on the Colonel.

"Roy Mustang, you cannot tell a single soul about this, I mean it." I said sternly, it was bad enough that he was finding out, now no one could ever know.

I began from the beginning, I told him everything, the mercenary jobs, living alone, and the homonculi. Though I skipped over many important details when it came to the abduction. Lastly I spoke of my time in isolation, and how I had taught myself alchemy.

"Let me get this straight, you knew about the Homonculi this whole time." Mustang said, he was already surprised.

"Yes, but it wouldn't have been easy to tell you, and I would have been exposed as well. The homonculi threatened me with my secret." I said sadly, saying it out loud made me sound even more guilty.

"Ah I see..." Mustang said, he paused for a bit and soon resumed his questioning.

"Another thing, Lieutenant, what is this big secret of yours, you keep talking about it as if it were something so terrible." Mustang said, he was staring at me with his cold eyes.

" Is this what you needed to tell me?" He asked once again,

"Yes, I needed to show you this Mustang, you deserve to know." I said, I took a few steps back and removed my jacket.

There was a flash of light, and soon I had transformed into my chimera form.

The Colonel gasped, and backed away slightly, my knees gave out as I sunk to the ground in disappointment.

"You see Mustang, this is the weight I've been carrying around. I'm a chimera." I said sadly, I was trying to hold my tears back.

Mustang didn't respond, he was in shock, it was all over his face.

"Colonel, answer me please." I begged, it was hard to see him like this.

"Sorry, I'm just a bit shocked." Mustang said, he put a hand behind his head. He walked over to me and sat down.

"That day, in the library, this is what you meant. You were referencing yourself." Mustang said sadly, his realization was getting to him.

"You probably hate me now, I wouldn't blame you. You went out with a monster." I said, the tears were coming.

"Luna-." Mustang said, I was crying, every breath was more shallow than the one before it.

"Please don't cry, look your not a monster, and I don't hate you." Mustang said, he was trying to comfort me, though it wasn't working.

"I should get back home." I said as I slowly got up, I retracted my wings and headed towards the exit.

"Goodbye." I said as I closed the door behind me.

I made it back home and slumped down into a pillow on my bed, I cried for hours. What if the Colonel treated me differently because of the secret. I hadn't even gotten the chance to tell him how I felt, and I didn't get to explain the whole picnic thing. Well it was too late for that, I would have to disappear once again, I could use up my sick days that I had been saving up, but that would be a waste. I remembered that the Colonel would be absent for a while, so I didn't need to leave just yet.

I entered the office and slouched down on a chair, no one was acting strange, Mustang had really made a promise, I'm glad he was true to his word.

Third Person POV

The Elrics were still hulled up in the north, and Mustang was at the Eastern Command again making preparations with Grumman. He decided to phone the Elrics, he had some things to explain.

"Hello?" Ed asked,

"It's Mustang." The Colonel said coldly.

"Mustang, what an unpleasant surprise, what do you want." Ed said in a harsh tone.

"It's about Lieutenant Redfield." He said quickly, Edward exhaled loudly, him and Al exchanged a few words before saying something.

"So you know." Edward said calmly, he waited for a response, but he was greeted with silence.

"Hahahahaha, well I found out before you, right Al." He added trying to release the tension.

"Right Ed." Alfonse said enthusiastically.

"Oh lay off will ya." Mustang snapped, the boys jumped a bit.

"Look Colonel, you mean a lot to Luna, you have to remember that." Edward said once more, he continued his statement

"She really loves you y'know." He said and he soon hung up.

Mustang sat in booth, he was shocked by how intelligent his words were, Edward could be really useful when he wanted to be.

"I guess I should've known that by now, she did kiss me after all." Mustang said to himself, he was unable to return to Central for atleast a week, but he was determined to fix things between him and Luna.

Luna POV

Mustang would be coming back soon, though that would be awkward. I thought a lot about myself, and my options, then it hit me. There was a shimmer radiating off of one of my bookshelves, the sun was shining on one of the titles.

"Human Transmutation." I said to myself.

Then it hit me, what if I was to transmute my body, I could somehow get it back, it didn't matter what the cost was, even if I died trying it wouldn't matter.

Time Skip

I was working in the office, it was the day of the transmutation, it was going to happen. I got up and busted out of there, I sprinted down the hall.

"Where are you going Lieutenant." One of the men said.

"Something that I should have done ages ago, I'll be human again." I said loudly, though I didn't sound very happy.

I ran out of Central, and kept going, I had already stored all of the ingredients in the old abandoned barn. It was all happening so fast, I was so close.
