TWELVE

Ketchikan, Alaska

      If there was one thing Hailey hated most in the world, it was being abruptly woken up before she was supposed to. That was why she lay between the soft covers of her hotel bed, grumbling into her pillow as the impatient bangs kept coming from her bedroom door. With one final grunt, she angrily threw the duvet off her, stomped her way to the door and yanked it open. She wasn't expecting to be met with a particularly beautiful head of blonde holding an almost equally beautiful bouquet of roses. Her face instantly softened as he gave her an excited smile and she threw herself into him.

After a couple minutes of their tight embrace, they let go and she gently pulled him into her room.
"As much as I missed you Ru, you couldn't wait a couple more hours?" the boy could only chuckle as he sat down on her bed and rested his head against stomach as she stood between his legs. The brunette couldn't help the fond smile that crossed her lips, cradling his head with one hand as the other weaves its way through his messy locks.
"I got back early and I just had to see you." he smiled up at her, moving to rest his chin on her stomach. "Besides, we can always just nap together now, amongst other things."

The pair couldn't help but laugh at the way he spoke but she gladly took him up on his offer, gently pulling his arms off her and snuggling herself under the duvet again. He pulled off his shoes and snuggles himself in a similar manner to her as his lips imitated her own fond smile. Rudy pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, pulling her closer by her waist and allowing her to nestle her head in the space between his neck and collarbone. She placed a gentle kiss on the side of his neck as she wrapped her arms around him and they both allowed sleep to consume them.
