December 16th

i get out of the shower and wrap myself in a towel.

walking into my closet i pick out a pair leggings and a long sweater and a pair of combat boots.

changing into my outfit i walk back into the bathroom and start brushing out my hair putting it up in a bun.

my phone buzzes and i glance at it.

"my car or yours?"

i grab my phone and text christian back.

"whatever you want".

putting on some makeup i walk back into my room and sit on my bed to put my shoes on.

my phone buzzes again.

"i'll be there in 5."

i smile.

getting up a grab my bag and walk out of my room and goes down the stairs.

"i'm leaving!"

my aunt and mom appear in the hallway.

i look at them.

"i'm going out with christian, lindy, and hunter".

they share a glance before nodding their heads.

"guys.."

my mom laughs.

"just be safe, okay?"

i nod taking my house key.

hearing a honk outside, i exit the house and make my way to his car.

"hey", i say getting in.

"hey, beautiful", he says kissing my cheek.

he starts driving in the direction of the skating rink as him and i sit in a comfortable silence.

he reaches over and takes my hand intertwining our fingers together.

i smile to myself looking out the window.

"have you skated before?", he asks breaking the silence.

i nod my head.

"i took classes when i was younger so i know a thing or two".

he chuckles.

"oohkay", he jokes, "we got an expert over here".

i laugh.

"shut up".
-

he pulls into the rink and parks and together we get out and walk inside together.

we spot lindy and hunter waving at us.

they walk over.

"hey hunter", i say giving him a hug.

"hey jessie".

christian stands there.

"oh hunter, this is christian".

"nice to meet you man", hunter says extending his arm out.

christian shakes his hand.

"yeah, you too".

we get our skates and move to the ice.

looking for christian, i see he's already on the ice.

i laugh and go catch up to him.

"you were holding out on me".

he shrugs.

"you didn't ask if i could skate".

-

we're sitting down at the small food court and hunter and i get up to wait for our food.

"you like him", hunter says.

i nod my head.

"yes, i do".

Christians POV

i'm left with lindy and i notice she keeps looking at me.

"can i help you?", i finally ask.

she smiles.

"why haven't you asked jess to be your girlfriend?",

i shrug not really knowing an answer.

why haven't i?

i like her a lot, we have a lot in common, we've spent almost everyday together since we met.

i guess i was just nervous she'd say no.

"trust me, lindy, i want to".

her smile grows wider.

"that's where i come in. hunter and i will help you".

i look back to see hunter and jessica talking and laughing.

her laugh is music to my ears.

her smile lights up my world.

just being in her presence is my favorite thing.

"okay, lindy. i'm on board", i tell her.
