When Sophie woke up, she realized that Fitz wasn't in her room. She crept downstairs and looked around the kitchen but he wasn't there either. When she walked into the living room, she saw Fitz and Grady sitting on the couch having a talk.
Uh oh.
She hid behind the wall and listened in on their conversation.
"Yes Fitz, that sounds great. At Everglen?" Grady said.
What at Everglen? What's going on?
"Yeah Grady if that's alright. Biana and Della have been wanting to do something important but they haven't had the chance." Fitz replied.
Important? Like a Black Swan mission or something? What if they were hosting a Black Swan meeting or something?
Sophie was very confused.
She decided to walk into the room.
"Hey guys!" She said cheerfully.
"Hey Soph! I'm glad your up!" Fitz said. He stood up and wrapped her in a hug. She set her head on he shoulder and gave in to the warmth of his arms. Fitz scooped her of and kissed the top of her head.
Then, they both realized that Grady was still in the room so Fitz gently set Sophie down. For a second, Sophie lost her balance and Fitz had to steady her by putting his arm around her shoulders.
"I've got to go Soph, I'll see you later."
He quickly kissed her and pulled out his path finder and leaped away to Everglen.
Sophie still didn't know what was going on. What were Grady and Fitz talking about earlier. Grady hugged Sophie and walked upstairs to his office.
