When Sophie woke up in the morning she got a hail from Fitz. He wasn't feeling well so he was staying in his elite dorm room all day. Sophie went down the stairs and to the leap master to go to Foxfire.
Today her first class was linguistics with Master Cadence. She walked up the stairs to her linguistics classroom in the silver tower. As she was walking up the stairs she tripped and fell forward. Since Fitz was having a sick day he wasn't there to catch her (which was the main reason Magnate Leto coordinated their schedules.)
Sophie hit her hand on the next stair and her palm sliced open. Sophie got up in a lot of pain and headed towards the healing centre.
She walked past an alchemy classroom and the door burst open. A prodigy had just exploded a serum and the door opened from the pressure in the room caused by the explosion. All of the mixture splashed out the doorway and on to Sophie's injured palm. She immediately collapsed to the floor. She knew exactly what the reaction was from. Limbium. She screamed and everything went black. She felt a pair of strong arms pick her up and hold her close. All she heard was whispers in her head saying:
Sophie
It's alright
You're ok
You're safe
As long as your in my arms you will be safe
It's ok
I love you
I'm here
That's all she heard before it all faded away into the darkness only held together by the love of the persons arms she was being held.
