It's a Hard Knock Life for Us (Thorinduil AU)

Thranduil, son of Oropher the great Sindarin King, is a young Prince. Life is all good despite the lack of approval from his father until one unlucky day, he is in the wrong spot at the wrong time. Now stripped from his mother and despised by his only parent, the elf does what he thinks is the last option.

Thorin, grandson of Thror the great King of Erebor, is also a young Prince. Life for him is no crystal staircase. Dealing with the constant fighting of his parents, Thorin is unhappy with the way things are run around the Oakenshield household. Little does the dwarf know the residence soon will retrieve an unexpected guest.

But when an outraged parent finds of their child's disappearance, war between different races is threatened to ensue over an unusual and beyond rare "friendship" between an elf and a dwarf.

The two can run as long as they wish, but dangers still sit on the road, waiting for them to pass through.

Some of which are closer known than others.

And some are that of kin.

A parent's love is said to be stronger than anything.

But could a parent's hatred be much more?
