By the time Eva had finished her bath and came out of the bathroom, Rush had gotten dressed after freshening up and walked out of the room to get his breakfast, calling out Eva's name as he went out of the room.

Putting her hair up in a messy bun, Eva got changed in a girly pajamas that had snowman printed on them and walked out of there to find Rush.

As her feet walked towards the kitchen, her steps slowed down to almost a snail speed when she saw Hailey sitting at the dining table, literally on the top of the table right in front of Rush as Rush sipped the coffee in his mug while scrolling through his tablet and talking to her at the same time.

Eva shook her head a little, getting annoyed at herself by every passing second for being so paranoid and jealous of every little thing related to Hailey.

She put on a smile and started walking forward while Rush put the cup in his hand on the table while laughing at something Hailey had said. His eyes stayed on the tablet screen while his thumb scrolled over an article.

That is when her hand picked up the vase sitting on the table beside her when her eyes saw Hailey pick up the cup Rush was drinking coffee from and put it up to her lips, sipping the coffee from the same cup.

To others, it might have looked otherwise... but to her? Well... she did not want to be called a jealous freak but the sight in front of her did not please her even a bit. She just could not express the instant wave of anger that washed through her heart.

"You are here, baby?"

Her eyes snapped past Hailey as Liam walked around the table and came to her. And then to her shock, he bent down and took her lips in a deep kiss while his hand slipped at the back of her head to keep her captive.

She knew in her heart that her first instinct should have been to throw him away from herself, but she could not. She did not know if it was the mate bond between them that pulled her to him or if it were her own unfulfilled need to feel him close after so much time. As soon as he kissed her, she was kissing him back without a second thought.

The anger she had been feeling mere a second ago melted into desire as her lips stayed attached to Liam's for what felt like hours.

When he finally pulled back, her hair had come undone from the messy bun, her cheeks were as red as autumn leaves and her nether region was on fire.

Her eyes lifted to meet Liam's only to find that his towering body was covering her completely along with the way she looked right at that moment. Liam's tongue came out to lick the bottom of his lips in a light caress as he shifted from one leg to another uncomfortably.

"Go to the table." He whispered in a hoarse tone, "I will be back in a minute."

He had barely finished before he was almost running upstairs, most probably to his room.

Eva's red face turned an even darker shade of red as the image of Liam trying to release himself flashed before her open eyes.

Her gaze collided with Rush's straight and found him staring at her with a smug expression.

"Want something for breakfast?" Rush said nonchalantly while pointing at the plate on the other end of the table with an innocent smile, "we have got eggs and sausages here."

Eva loudly cleared her throat to shake off the embarrassment that had engulfed her and walked to the table to pick up the plate. Her hands shook a little as she sat down in the chair beside Rush.

"Uncle Rush," Hailey said and got slipped down from the table, "I am going to get a plate of breakfast for myself."

Eva's eyes snapped to Hailey when at the same time Hailey smiled at her sweetly and said cheerfully, "Morning Eva!"

"Morning."

3 days later

"She has invited all of us," Rush mumbled and pushed Eva inside the washroom with a cocktail dress in her hands, "I swear to God, if you don't go inside and change your clothes right now, I am going to be the one doing that for you, with pleasure."

The door got slammed shut in her face while she pushed her hands in her hair in exasperation. Hailey had some friends in the city and she had asked Rush to come to a party they were hosting to welcome her. Hailey had never mentioned anything about the party to her and she was worried if she even wanted to go to the damn thing or not.

Since Hailey had come to the house, Eva was not feeling at ease. Although Rush and Liam were very old compared to Hailey, her actions and reactions literally screamed she was attracted to them both. How Rush and Liam did not see it was beyond her understanding. But as a girl, Eva could see the signs clear as day. She did not want to appear like a moron in front of them so she did not say anything. She tried to ignore Hailey's actions thinking everyone has a crush on someone older at her age, she will eventually get over it. But in all honesty, it was unnerving to her.

Now going to a party that she was not even directly invited to? Did not really feel like a wise decision but Rush was hell- bent on not giving her any other option.

Pushing her face in the golden shimmer dress and stifling her silent scream of frustration, she shook her head to clear it and got dressed. Fuck it.

Eva walked inside the grand party with her arm entwined with Rush's. The party was a grand one, to her shock. They literally had to take a boat and get to the ship that had the party ongoing in the middle of the ocean- kind of grand party. As her hand shook a little in nervousness seeing all the dazzling people gathered on the deck of the beautifully decorated ship, she looked around to find if she recognized any faces. The whole area was covered with young people standing around or dancing at the rock music blasting through the air.

Liam was supposed to come directly to the party as he had told Rush on the call.
