"You really want to get killed, don't you?" Eva snickered through her tears suddenly while jumping to catch the flying fist of Rush that was about to hit Rhett in the face.

Rhett put a hand over his heart and heaved out a heavy sigh with sad face, "You are breaking my heart, Adorbee."

Eva giggled softly before standing up and taking him in her arms, hugging him tightly, "I hope you really do find an exclusive Adorbee for yourself, Rhett. You are a nice guy."

Rhett grinned and whispered in her ear, "Let me know if you have a sister, I will try to be satisfied with that."

"Enough!" Liam snapped while grabbing Rhett's shoulder and pulling him back harshly to break the hug.

Rhett gave Liam and Rush a cold look before winking at Eva for the last time and walking away from there. 

Once the three of them were alone, there was nothing but silence between them. 

"Eva..." Liam murmured, facing her as his eyes lifted up to meet hers, "I am so sorry for whatever happened. I.. I can not even look at you without feeling guilty because all of this would never have happened if I had not have that deep fucking desire of becoming an alpha of our pack."

Eva stared at his guilt ridden face. There was nothing but remorse and sadness in his eyes but was that enough? Was it enough for her to give him her forgiveness? After all that he had done, all that Rush and she had to go through, was it fair to give him another chance?

"Liam," Eva stepped closer to him, her eyes were staring in his trying to find any trace of lie, "I will ask you just one question, and I want you to answer to me honestly, without any lie, without any facade, without any kind of hidden motive. Can you... can you do that for me?"

Her voice was low because her throat hurt when she talked. 

"Anything." Liam whispered, inching his hand to her cheek and caressing gently.

Eva did not back away from his touch but she did not give him any indication of accepting his touch lovingly as well. She was distant from him, trying to keep her emotions at bay because those were the things that made her so vulnerable in front of Liam, making her forget everything, every betrayal. And getting hurt two times, and then over and over and over again each time she had seen Aster and Liam together was enough for her to keep her feelings hidden in a dark corner of her heart. She did not want to get hurt again. She did not want to break again because she knew that she will not be able to bear any kind of distrust, destruction this time.

"Was it all Aster and her powers or were you involve in this too?" 

Liam's brows knitted in confusion at her words, "What do you mean by that?"

Eva sighed, she knew that asking this question was going to hurt her but this was the only way for her to guard her heart, 

"Weren't you the one who wanted to become the Alpha? I.. I know that her powers must have been hard to resist but did you even try? Did you even try to get out of her spell for me? Did you ever think how much it must be hurting me and Rush?"

"Eva, of course. I mean-" Liam tried to step closer but Eva put a hand on his chest and whispered, 

"Stay back please."

A flash of hurt immediately passed through Liam's face. He knew that everything that Eva and Rush had endured was not fair to them. He was the sole reason that both of them had become victim of so much pain.

"Eva...," Liam hung his head as his eyes clenched shut, trying to block out the look of indifference that Eva had put up to guard herself, "You know I love you. Both of you!"

Rush had stepped closer to Eva. He wanted to be there for the both of them but he knew that right now Eva needed him the most because she had never done anything wrong to them except fall in love hopelessly without any dark feeling. Liam was a victim to the evil of Astrid and Marcus but he knew that Liam was not completely innocent as well.

"Just tell me the truth." Eva murmured softly, "Weren't you even a bit conscious about what was happening to us... and you?"

"It was a haze." Liam said desperately, "I could not control anything. I was trying to fight the pull she had but I... I felt like I was in love with her."

"So you were not aware of anything happening to you or us?" Rush asked.

Liam huffed out a sigh in frustration and and snapped, "I don't know! Alright?! I don't fucking know!"

Eva pursed her lips in anger at his words, turned around and started to storm towards the main door to get out of the house.

Rush and Liam immediately ran after her. Liam managed to grab her wrist from behind and snapped in anger,

"You can not walk away from me like this!"

Eva turned her head towards him, her eyes were spitting fire as she tried not to shout, "When you are not sure of what you have been feeling and if you really hurt us or not, are you really expecting me to fall for your lies once again Liam?"

"I am not lying! Eva, don't do this to me." Liam begged, his voice was restrained, "I will do anything to make you believe me once again."

"Oh? You will do anything?" Eva asked, slipping her hand in Rush's and clutching it tight for the strength that she needed right now.

"Yes!" Liam rushed, "-anything! I will do anything Eva."

"Then let me go because I can not trust you again." Eva turned away from him before he could see her tears fall and walked away from him.
