Eva's first thought was to storm over there and punch the shit out of that shitty man. But then her step halted the very next second. She had no right to do anything that had to do with Liam. She had already decided that there was not going to be a chance when she trusts him again. But then she had started to fall for his words earlier when he had repeated constantly that he was under the influence of magic and was sorry for all that had happened.

She was about to turn away but before her eyes could move away from him, his gaze suddenly collided with hers. His reaction was instant. Standing up from his seat he gently removed the girl's arms from around him and started walking toward Eva. But Eva was already moving away from him hurriedly, trying to lose him and enter inside the private room where her love waited for her, not some douchebag like Liam.

"Eva wait up!" she heard him shout from behind herself. But she ignored him and increased her speed. Walking fast in these damn heels was as tough as anything could get.

He was catching up to her fast and then right before she was about to enter the private room, he grabbed her wrist and plastered her against the wall.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

Eva rolled her eyes. Of course, that was the matter that needed his attention. Getting caught flirting with someone else was never too fun, you know?

"None of your business," she replied and ducked her head to get out of his hold. He put his other hand on her waist while his left hand blocked her path by resting against the wall by the side of her head.

"A straight answer, baby. I am just asking a simple question," he asked gently, his fingers unknowingly caressing her waist as her scent filled him after such a long day.

"Rush is waiting for me inside." she snapped, "go back to your date and let me go back to mine."

"What?" Liam scrunched his eyebrows in confusion at her words, "I am not on a date."

"Yeah, right."

"Oh so that is why you are so angry." he smirked evilly, "Eva, are you jealous?"

Eva gritted her teeth in anger and snapped, "There is nothing to be jealous about. You were always a man whore and will always remain one. What is there to be jealous of?"

The smirk on Liam's face immediately wiped away. "Do not insult me, Eva. I am trying to be good to you."

"No need." she snapped and pushed at his chest to create distance between them, "keep your goody two shoes to yourself. I don't need anything from you."

Before Liam could answer her, the girl that was with Liam earlier came running towards them and immediately hugged him from the side, "What are you doing here? I was waiting there for you for so long!"

Eva looked from her to Liam and then smirked in disappointment, "No date. Of course, it isn't. "

"She is not my date!" Liam gritted and pulled the girl in a side hug, "she just came here from Canada. I was going to bring her home after dinner."

Eva's head literally exploded hearing the words. This man was shameless! Saying this was not his date and then saying 'he was going to bring a fucking young girl to the place where his mates were staying'. Was he even listening to the words that were coming out of his mouth?

"I am so done with you. Asshole!" she growled aloud and threw him away from herself, storming inside the private room where she found Rush sitting on the couch waiting for her. He had probably had the couches cleaned up and got the food to be brought fresh as she looked at the steam leaving from it.

"EVA, LISTEN TO ME FOR FUCKS SAKE!" Liam followed her inside with the girl's hand clutched in his own, "you are taking it all wrong!"

Before she could answer him, Rush stood up from his place and exclaimed in happiness, "Hailey! What a great surprise!"

His eyes stared past her at the girl who was clinging to Liam. Hearing Rush's voice, the girl left Liam's side and rushed over to hug Rush.

"Uncle Rush!"

Eva looked at the girl and Rush in confusion. Uncle? What the hell was going on?

"Eva," Rush smiled and motioned for her to come closer, "this is Hailey. She is my mom's friend's daughter."

Eva was looking for the nearest wall to slam her face on the nearest wall in humiliation. What the hell!

Ignoring the urge to kick herself, she put up a genuine smile on her face and extended her hand to the girl, "Hey!"

The girl smiled brightly and shook Eva's hand. Eva stared at her innocent smile and wondered if the girl was a werewolf like Rush and Liam or not.

"She is Eva, mine and Liam's mate." Rush introduced.

The girl's smile fell for a second, but then almost immediately she turned to Liam and shouted over the music to Liam, "Uncle, let's sit with uncle Rush only. I have so much to talk about with both of you!"

Saying this, without waiting for an answer she fell down on the couch and started filling up the plate of food. Rush and Liam smiled down at her and started chatting away without another thought.

The girl stood up and grabbed Liam's arm to pull him to sit beside herself, clinging to him while laughing at something that Rush said.

As Eva went to sit on the other side of Rush, she wondered if she was the only one feeling odd and out of the place?

She was a bit disappointed at the ruining of her date with Rush, but then there was a strange kind of relief in her chest knowing the girl, Hailey was just a kid that Rush and Liam knew, not someone Liam was dating because she was out of his way.
