Sudden Change

Chapter 14

Zayne POV

Just like the other night, me, mom and dad slept together in mom's room!

But when I woke up this morning, mom and dad wasn't on the bed with me...

I got scared because
I dreamt that daddy left us.
And mommy was crying.

I went out of the bed and walked out of the room hugging my blanket and went to the kitchen and I saw them together.

Just a dream.

They greeted me and I immediately ran to mommy and hug her.

"what's wrong baby?"

"Daddy won't leave us, right?"

Mom glance over dad.

"He's staying with us now, he told you tha--"

"But he won't leave us? Right?" My eyes waters.

"Hey, what's gotten into you?" I felt a hand on my head and when I turned around I saw dad.

I started crying when I remember what happened on my dream.

Dad carry me and made me sit on the table while they stand infront of me.

Mom hold both of my hand.

"You had a bad dream?"

I nodded.

"M-mommy... d-daddy l-left-- *sob*"

"Shhh, stop crying... He's here, look, daddy's here, you have nothing to worry. It's just a dream."

"D-daddy *sob* w-won't leave *sob* us?"

"Zayne, listen. Just like what your mom said, you have nothing to worry about me leaving you. For now on, you'll be seeing my face every day. Stop crying, okay?"

"Okay..."

Mom wiped my face, and she smile at me.

I look at daddy.

"Promise me daddy, you won't leave us. I don't want to see mommy crying. She look so sad in my dream when you left.... I don't want to see mommy crying. I-I.. I d-don't w-want t-tha---"

"Shhhh... I'll stay here no matter what."

Mom hugged me first and daddy joined us.

I took a deep breath.

"Let's eat breakfast?" Dad ask.

I pulled away at them, smiling.

Mom kissed me before turning her back to get plates.

"Hey, mommy just turn around and your smile drop, aren't you happy with me?" Dad ask me trying to make his face look sad.

That made me giggle.

"Stoop"

"No."

"Daddyyyyy"

"I don't wan--"

"Daaad-" I stand on the chair. "-dyyy" then I jump into him.

"Ahmmpf... H-hey, don't jump suddenly. What if i didn't catch you, we're both dead to your mom."

I hug him and put my head on his shoulder.

"I love you daddy"

"I love you too Zayne."

"Promise me you won't make mommy cry."

"I'll try my best not to make her cry."

He made me look at him.
