Courtney POV

The line here is a little shorter.

"Britney, your dad isn't there yet."

"Mommy, please, I'll just stay at the play ground. Daddy told me we would meet there."

"You can't just go there alone. What if you got lost."

"Mommy, I've been here a ton of times. I know where to go."

"L-let me call your dad first."

"Okay mom." Her daughter went to the seat.

I heard the person infront me sigh.

"Hey, miss. If you want, you can go to her and I'll just save your space for you."

"Thank you."

I just watch them talk the line moved and after a minute, she's here.

"Thank you so much. I'm sorry for the trouble I caused you."

"It's okay."

"It's hard to dealt with your daughter sometimes."

"I don't have daughter, but I know what You're feeling."

"I'm Brianna, and that was my daughter, Britney."

We shake hands.

"Courtney, I have son, he's name is Zayne Callum."

"Ahmm, I didn't mean to intrude, but are you sure you're okay for her to wander around alone?"

"For real? I don't want to, but you heard what she said, right?"

"That she's been here a lot."

"Yeah. She really got used being here. *sigh* I feel bad about it because the reason isn't really... great? Her father and I decided to live separately because of some.. arguement... We can't stand eachother as the day passed, so we decided that it's better for us not to stay in one roof. And now, even though Bri didn't tell us, I knew that she's suffering for our selfish decision."

I saw sadness in her eyes.

"Ah- I'm sorry, I d-didn--"

I heard her subtle laugh.

"You're so kind. It's okay. I should be the one who's apologising, we just met and I'm telling you about my family. I don't know why I feel comfortable telling that to you."

"It's fine, really. I know it's been tough not being able to talk to someone because we're trying to keep it to ourselves."

"Being a mother is tough, we wanted the best for our child not minding about ourselves, and there are time that even we did our very best, it still feel like there is something missing."

She's right.

"Because we don't want our child to hate us."

"True."

Her phone rang.

"Ahmm.. Courtney, can you.." she gesture where she's standing.

I nod when I understand what she meant.

"Yeah sure."

She smiled before she take a few steps away before answering her phone.

"Where are you? Bri has been waiting for you for hour now...."

Just a seconds after, my phone rang.

It is Shayne.

I answer it.
