Shayne POV

When mom and dad went back to Arizona, everything backs to normal. I'm sneaking out of Courtney's bedroom whenever she and Zayne already sleeping.

It's not that I don't want to sleep with them,
but I need to consider Courtney's feelings.

I can say that she's more comfortable with me now compare when we first saw eachother again.

She can't even look at me that time and whenever I'm trying to get closer to her she backs away.
It hurts me, but It's okay because deserve that.
And what's important right now,
even it's a slow progress,
we're starting to get along like we used to back then.

Since the restaurant closes at 9:30pm, sometimes when I got home, Zayne was already sleeping or sleepy. We haven't spending time together like we used to.

Courtney and Zayne sometimes would wait for me and I got worried because I know they are tired and I can't even entertain them because I'm busy helping at restaurant.

So Damien and I talked about the schedule, and we're on the same page that's it's okay to adjust the schedule. He's also worried about Kimmy being alone at their house.

I talked about it to Courtney and this is how our conversation go.

~~Flashback~~~

"Zayne, you wait for me here. There's something I want to tell to mommy, I'll be back real quick or if I take so long just call me but don't shout loudly"

"Okaaay." he smile at me before bringing back his attention to the movie we're watching and munching popcorn.

I went to Courtney's bedroom and saw her changing the cover of the bed. I grab the other edge of the cover and helped her.

"Courtney." I said.

"Hmm?"

"I want to tell you something."

She nods

"Well, Damien and I figured out that we changed the schedule, so starting tomorrow, I can leave the restaurant 5 pm on Mon, Wed, and Friday."

"That's great." Courtney sat on the bed and put the laptop on her lap. "Wait, I'll just send these files to Kimmy and Olivia."

I grab her eyeglasses and gave it to her.

"Thank you." She mouthed and wear it

I can see how tired she is.

Just a minute she put the laptop away and faced me.

"Okay, tell me."

"Yeah.. the sched---"

"That's not the only thing you want to tell me."

I cleared my throat.

"Ahmm.. yeah, I just wondering every Mon, Wed and Friday, I'll drive and pick up Zayne at school and you at work... Because in that way.... We can save gas...?"

Great Shayne, when can you be a man and tell what you really want to say.
'We can spend time longer' that's what I wanted to say.

I heard Courtney chuckled.
Well, at least it makes Courtney happy.

"Yeah, sure. Did you already tell Zayne?" she said smiling and I couldn't stop smiling.
