Chapter 11

Shayne POV

I felt shifting on the bed.

"Daddy..."

"Daddy, wake uuuup."

"Zayne, it's too ea---" he covers my mouth.

"Shhh.. dad, wake up. Pleeeease."

"Go back to sl-- arg--" he put his hand on my stomach and add some pressure on it.

"I need you, wake up."

"Okay, okay, I'm awake." I sat up slowly, my back against the headboard still eyes closed.
I open one of my eyes and saw him facing the other way.
"What are you looking there?"

He look at me smiling.

"Mommy is here." Then he moves a little and I saw Courtney sleeping, she is sitting on the chair she put beside the bed, arms folded on the bed where she resting her head. "She look so tired.."

I immediately jolt up awake, I stand up and went to Courtney's side.

"Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" I asked him quietly.

"Daddy, I've been trying to wake you up for like forever." He said like he was losing his patience.

I smiled because how cute he is.

"Okay, I'm sorry. What do you want me to do?" I ask him.

"Put mommy here." Then he pat the side of the bed.

I look at Courtney then him.

"Can't we just wake her up?" He shakes his head no.

"But what if she wake up when I'm trying to put her there?"

"Then you should be very careful not to wake her daddy."

I look at Courtney, thinking in what possible way I'll carry her without waking her.

This is hard.

"Dad, I wanted to sleep beside mommyyyy."

"We will get there... Come closer, I need your help."

He gladly obeyed.

"Now, when I lift her head, you will put her arms on my shoulders"

Zayne just nod.

I took a deep breath before gently tapping my stomach wishing it won't hurt.

I bent down, leveling my shoulder on Courtney's head. I slowly lift her head. When I successfully did, Zayne immediately but gently grab Courtney's hand and put it on my shoulder.

"Zayne."

"Hmm?"

"Hold mom's head." When he did. I secure one of my arm on her back and hold her on her shoulder and my other hand behind her knees.

You'll just lift her for a seconds and then put her on the bed.

I counted three in my mind before lifting her up.

Mine and Zayne's eyes widened because we thought she wake up when she moves, but she only tightened her hold on my neck and her head find its place at the side of my neck.

Zayne sigh and show me a thumbs up.

My focus on putting her on the bed vanished as I felt her breath on my skin that gives me chills all over my body. Just having her close like this can give me the tingling sensation, the feelings that I wanted to feel only from her.
