Chapter 21

Shayne POV

"Shayne, there's a man looking for you."

"Who?"

"Ahmm.. Wahlid? Oh, yes, Wahlid. He said you know eachother."

What does that man want?
Why he decided to show up all of the sudden?

"Are you going? I can tell him to leave if you don----"

"I will. Can you handle the stocks delivery? This needed to be finish today."

"Yeah, sure." He take my seat.

I put down the eye glasses I wear.
He told me where Wahlid's at.

"I thought you won't show up, but good thing you did." Just looking at this guy, I can tell he's up to something.

"What do you want?"

"Woah, Topp, easy. I didn't came here to start a fight. Just take a seat first."

I tried my best to calm myself.

I don't know, but every time I saw him,
I need to remind me that I have to control myself.

I sat down because I don't want to make a scene here.

"So, how's living with Courtney and your son?"

"Look Wahlid, stop acting like you care about that. I don't have time to play pretend with you. What's your real intention?"

"That's what I like about you. You always want direct to the point.... But sad to say that side of you vanished when it comes to Courtney."

I really don't like the smug look on his face.

"When you're with her, you are blind. Always waiting for her to come to give you what you want." He stare at me. "To know what you wanted to know."

He crossed his arms on his chest and lean back on his chair.

"But you know what? Since you gave me your time, it's fair that I give you something for return."

"If you have nothing good to say, you can leave."

"Don't worry, I will leave when my take outs arrive. I heard good reviews about the food here, I thought I should give it a try."
"But anyway, I think you had anything you wanted to have. And all I could think to give to you right now is some information."

"Sir, here's your take out. Thank you for coming." Kai left when he puts the order on the table.

I stand up.

"Thank you but don't need to hear it"

"I think I'm wasting your time too much, so I'll say it now." He stand up. "And oh, if you don't want to hear it, you have no choice but to listen." He grab his take out. "The reason why Courtney didn't tell you about Zayne? She fears that you'll take him away from her." He turns around. "So, that's that. If you don't believe me, its up to you. Just ask her if you want to know the truth, but you can just wait until she tells you though. But on the second thought, if you're still going to figure it out soon, why not now? Why do you have to waste time to know that information is real or not? right Shayne?"
"Thanks for the time Topp, highly appreciated it."

I waited for him to vanished on my sight.
I'm processing what he just said.

Courtney thought.. that I'll take Zayne away from her?

I went back where I left Damien.

"Bro, they sai...." I didn't hear what Damien said. I went straight to the restroom attached to this room.
