Chapter 19

Courtney POV

"Ahmm... Courtney? Oh, thank God I finally found you, I wandered around here just looking for you." He let go of me and went infront of me. "Sorry If I scared you there, I was trying to get your attention by calling you but that didn't work." It was Damien.

I didn't even notice I was holding my breath.

"I should've just called you.. but anyway what's important now I finally saw you. Shayne told me to come here to pick you up. I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, I had a meeting earlier and good thing was it's about to end but the reason it took me so long it's 20 minutes drive away where I just came from."

"It's okay.."

"Are you done here?"

"Yeah."

He seems notice that my body is trembling.

"We should go now."

I just nod. He carry all the bag and lead the way to his car.

"I'll just call Shayne, that man is really worried about you. I didn't know what exactly happening, but he keeps saying that I should be here asap." He told me as he gave me a bottle of water.

"Thank you, I'm sorry if I bothered you so much."

"No big deal.... Hey Shayne, I'm with Courtney now, she's safe so don't stress to much." He hands me his phone before he starts driving.

"Are you sure you really okay? I already told Kimmy that you're not working today, you and Damien will just dropped the things you buy to the store. I think it's better if yo--"

"Shayne, take a breath."

I heard him sighed.

"You wanna spend the rest of the day here?"

"Maybe I'll just stay at the house."

"But.... Okay, just make sure you lock the windows and doors. Take a rest, I know you're exhausted. Don't worry about Zayne, I'll pick him up."

"Thank you Shayne."

"We will talk later, I need to go now. Call me if you need anything, okay? bye."

I heard someone calling him.

Shayne and Damien are on hand with their restaurant.

I gave the phone back to Damien. He glanced at the screen when it vibrate.

"Ahmm.. Courtney, can I talked to you about something? I know this day is really rough day for you, but I need to tell you something, you really need to know about this." He said in a serious tone, it seems so important.

"You mean now?"

"I know it might be intrusive, but do you mind if I stay at your house? I think that the best place to talk about it."

If Shayne trust him so much,
maybe I can trust him too.

"Yeah, of course."

Damien POV

"Hey honey.". I greeted Kimmy when I enter their office

"How's Courtney? If I know this will happen, I shouldn't le--"

"Shh.. everything is fine." I hug her. "You have nothing to worry, If you stress yourself, our baby will suffer and I know you don't want that." I kissed her head.

"Oh God, why do I always walk in to catch the both of you doing PDA." Olivia said as she closes the door. "Where's Courtney? Is she okay?"

I guide Kimmy to sit on the couch at the side of the office.
