Sudden Change

chapter 8

Shayne POV

"DADDY!!! Why did you let mommy go with that guuuuy! Arhggg! I can't believe thiiis!" Zayne said as he crossed his arms on his chest.

"Don't worry, when mommy come back, she won't be working with him."

"Can we call her now?"

"I bet she's still in the plane."

"Arhggg!"

"Hey, don't ruin your day, your mom doesn't want that."

"But!--"

"Your mom also told me that your grandpa and grandma will visit you on Thursday."

"And we still need one more day before mommy come."

"And we promised that we will do anything you want when she's back. So the best thing you should do is focus in your school, then after school, you can list down what you wanted to do."

"Fine."

I park the car and grab Zayne's bag.

"Let's go?"

He nods and go outside. I lock the car before I went out. I  saw him staring at the ground. I knelt down and made him look at me.

"Hey, don't cry."

"I-I'm not crying."

I carry him and stand up.

"Remember what mommy told you? She said before you know she's here. Don't be sad."

"But she won't be by my side tonight... I want mom to be here."

"We will call her when she's free. We will talk to her before you sleep." He nod and hugged my neck so I start to walk toward his room.

"Hmmm.... Dad?"

"Yeah?"

"Can we sleep in mom's room?"

"Ask her that later, if she let us, then we will."

"*Sigh* I miss her already."

"It's not that you'll see her whole day. You have school."

"But the fact she ain't going home tonight, tomorrow and the other day makes me miss her moooooore."

"Then when she's back, you should give her a hug and kisses."

He look at me and hold my cheeks.

"You're right dad. We should give her that!" He said smiling.

"There you go, that's what I wanted to see this morning."

I stopped infront of the doorway.

"You want to voicemail mommy? I'm sure she also miss you."

"Yes please."

I put him down and grab my phone in my pocket then give it to him when it's ready.

"Hi moooom, Hope you have a great day. Don't get near to that guy. I'm in school right now. When you comehome, you'll see daddy and I waiting for you. I love you and I miss you. Call us later, *muah*." Then he look up at me, smiling. "Here you go dad. I should probably need to go inside." He hand me the phone and hug me.

"Okay, wait for me here later. Don't go anywhere."

He nods and gesture to me that I should lean down. He kissed me on the cheek.

"Bye daddy, see you later. Love you."

I smiled and hug him then kiss the top of his head.

"Love you too Zayne. Have fun."
