Chapter 24

Shayne POV

After a week, I can say, everything is back to normal.
Courtney become more comfortable around me,
She wouldn't hesitate to call me if she needed help or something.

Zayne is doing his assignments, while Courtney is busy cooking for our dinner.
I tried to help her but she refuse.

"And I'm donee! Yey! I can play nooow! right mommy?"

"Yes you can."

"Yeey! Daddyy!!"

He holds my hand.

Wait.. I think this is the perfect time to tell him.

We went to Courtney.

"Courtney, just call us when it's ready or you need some help."

"I will..  Zayne, drag your dad away from here. You two have fun"

I pick up Zayne.

"Zayne, I think mommy is getting tired of my face, she doesn't lov--"

"Shaayne!" Her face is red.

"That's hot, I'm just joking!" I said trying to contain my laugh when I saw the spatula in her hand.
Zayne is giggling
"Okay, fine.. we will leave now." I tucked some of her hair behind her ear.
"Don't miss us too much mommy." After I said that I run out of the kitchen with Zayne.

I noticed how her face becomes more redder than it already was.

She's so cute.

When I enter Zayne's room, I lock it in case Courtney walk in.

"Daddy, my toys isn't here." I put him down on the bed.

"We will play later, but I need to tell you something."

"Owkaaay"

I turn around to get the ring.

"Remember this?" I show him the box.

His eyes widened.

"Our secret!"

"Shh... Mommy might hear us." I whispered.

"Oppss..sorry.."

"It's okay." I put it back then went to him.
"I'll be needing your help, will you help me?"

"Of course daddy." He's happy.

"This is our plan......"

Courtney POV

"Zayne, Shayne di---"

I didn't finish what I was about to say when they walk in and sat at the chair.

"Hello mommy! Hmmmmnn... smells good, daddy our favouriteee!!"

I look at them... confused..

Just looking at these two..
I knew they are hiding something..
I don't know why,
But I can feel it.

"....tney Courtney.... Mommy..?"

"Shayne.." I said out of embarrassment..

"You're spacing out." He pointed out. "Let's eat before it get cold."

I guess, I'm just imagining things..

"Oh, yeah, sure."

I look at our son, he's already eating.

Courtney, everything is normal,
They're not hiding anything from you.
