I decided to explore the forest a little to get familiar with my surroundings. I was still bamboozled on how the hell I ended up in this place. But I'm guessing that to go back I have to complete this so called task, which could take a while.
I stopped in my tracks when I saw a little hut, almost like a house. It was hidden in the trees so it was quite hard to spot.
I went closer and opened the door warily, and saw that it was empty, empty as in no one was there, which I was glad about. Everyone here seems... different. The clothes are different too... and this becoming king thing seems... Well... historical? Medieval? Is that the right word?
I then remember something that Yedam said to Chan.
"You know no one can live normally these days. We're struggling, and we need a better leader. You father is sick and is getting older... this place won't hold without you."
No one can live normally huh..? I sighed and pushed my thoughts aside, looking around the room. It was surprisingly in good condition. There was a small table in the corner and two chairs, well, stools almost. There was a single bed that was attached to the wall and finally a mini kitchen, with a worktop with a few shelves on top. There was a mini stove, and I went to check if it was working. As expected, it wasn't working.
I sighed and sat down on the bed, staring down at the floor.
Ok... what do I know? I know that I have this task to complete, save Chan from... whatever that is. To do that I have to get close to him... but how? Doesn't he live in the castle? And he almost even killed me today, he thought I was a spy. How am I supposed to get him to trust me?
And this world... it's not the same as before. Things seems almost... old... or... medieval.
Something clicked inside my brain. The clothes... the whole king thing... it does seem medieval. And teh sword... Well, who carries a sword these days? Yeah, it's definitely a different time period.
Ugh my head hurts...
I closed my eyes, hoping it would help with the headache, but it didn't. I just slept earlier on the coach too so I wouldn't be able to fall asleep again.
After a while, I decided to get up and look around outside the hut. If was actually located in a really hidden place seeing it now. The place I came in from was the only way in or out, and you could barely see it too. I was lucky to have spotted it.
Should I... explore outside the forest?
As if I'd been heard, another golden leaf fell from the tree and I picked it up.
Beware of the outside world. Staying away from the forest for long will lead to your death... your failure.
...Yeah I think I'll stay in the forest...
But how will I get close to Chan if I'm stuck here?
It'll be hard... I can only hope that hell come to the forest again.

To my luck, he did come back to the forest the next day.
I was contemplating whether or not I should approach him or not when all of a sudden he looked up and straight away me, scaring me to death to be honest with you.
"You again?" he raised an eyebrow and I just stood there unsure of what to do.
He sighed and got up, walking over to me. I unconsciously took a step back but to my luck my back hit a tree.
Now he was right in front of me, arms crossed, staring right into my eyes as if he was expecting me to do something.
After a minute of us just staring at each other, he looked down at my clothes and then looked back at me confused. "What are you wearing?" he asked and I was even more confused than him before I realised. The clothes they wear are different... so he probably thinks what I'm wearing is weird. Well, it's just a white branded shirt tucked into a pair of jeans, nothing weird. But to them it would be weird.
I realised that I didn't answer and I was about to speak but he suddenly grabbed both my arms, pinning them against the tree.
My eyes widened as his face was right in front of mine, barely any space left between both our faces. He looked even more angelic from closer up. His skin was perfect, and his features were just as beautiful.
"What are you trying to do, don't make up a stupid excuse like yesterday" he said with a cold voice.
"I... it wasn't an excuse, it was the truth..." I wanted to smack my face for stuttering, now it seemed like I was lying. But I couldn't help from being a little flustered from the position we were in, plus I was kinda scared of what he'd do.
"Then what are you doing here still?" "I..." What am I supposed to say? I can't leave the forest, that's the truth. And that task... Well I can't tell him about that, I would sound stupid.
"I can't leave the forest" I said after some thought. It was the truth, so I wasn't lying.
"Why?" How am I supposed to know why?
I need to say something that would convince him. I can't tell him the truth, but if I don't say anything he's going to see me as a threat.
"I just... stay in the forest. Explore it you could say... I like it here and I've always stayed here so there really isn't a place for me to go back to."
He didn't say anything but just stared into my eyes, as if trying to tell if I was telling the truth or not. Eventually, after a minute he slowly let go of my arms, taking a step back.
Without saying another word, he turned around and walked back to where he was sitting, grabbing his bag, well, satchel, before walking away.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in and put my hand ony heart, trying to calm myself down.
Why is my heart beating so damn fast...
I shook it off and sighed.
This is going to be harder than I thought...
But at least now he doesn't suspect me as someone bad, right?
