Jonah's POV

"Hey guys!" I call out, walking into the kitchen. Zach and Daniel were both there munching on...lemon tarts it appeared to be.

"Hey, how was your jog?" Daniel asked.

"Great! Went for ten miles today." I said, proud of myself.

"Damn!" Zach called out shocked.

"You have to try this lemon tart." Daniel said, pointing to the pastries. They did look really good.

"Come on! You deserve one." Zach encouraged me with a grin.

I roll my eyes and give in. "Fine!"

I pick a tart up and take a bite. My tongue bursting with flavor.

"Holy shit!" I cry out, amazed, "these are amazing!"

"Thanks." Zach said with a smile.

"Has Eben tried them?" I asked.

"Nope, he went outside while they were still cooking and hasn't been back in since." Daniel explained.

"Am going to go take him one." I say while grabbing another and heading outside.

I searched for Eben and unfortunately ate his tart on the hunt to find him. I couldn't help it! It was so good!

Finally I find Eben and was about to open my mouth to tell him to come to the kitchen to get a tart but instead it turned into a silent gasp.

Holy shit!! It was amazing! Eben was painting a pair of parents, joy captured on their features and each detail seemed to be painted with love. It was beautiful!

Eben must of heard me come up behind him through and turned around really fast, startled. Paint splattering across the ground, almost getting me.

"Jo. Seriously, I could've ruined your whole shirt with my paint." Eben says with a sigh, "Don't sneak up on me like that. Got it?"

It seemed like Eben's words went in through one ear and out the other. My attention solely on his gorgeous painting. Eben notices me staring and looks behind him, panic coming over his features.

"Oh that! Look I can explain-" Eben begins to say but I cut him off, holding my hand up, wanting to stare into the pretty painting longer. Eben was sooo talented. He is going to be an wonderful famous artist one day!

"Eb, this is amazing." I praise him, moving closer to the painting, slowly though like it was going to run away from me the closer I got to it.

"Wait what?" Eben asked.

I finally turn my glaze to look at him, a big smile coming over my face. Did he not realize the talent he held! I will constantly tell him then.

"I said they look amazing." I repeat for him to hear again.

A smile slowly spreading across Eben's face, making his face, if possible, ten times as handsome. His blue eyes looking like the clear blue sky, that I wanted to stare into all day.

"Uh, thanks." Eben said with a small pink blush coming over his face.

I grab Eben hand, loving the perfect fit we had when our hands aligned with each others. "Come on. Let's go inside."

Eben follows me back inside the house and to the living room. I take a seat on the couch, pulling Eben down to sit next to me.

"Care to explain what's happening." I ask, not understanding why he would keep such a talent from me. Did he not trust me enough?

"Explain what?" Eben asked, putting on a innocent smile.

I glare at him. "Come on Eben." I say, running a hand through my hair, frustrated that he wasn't telling me the truth. I just wanted to learn everything about him, and it kind of hurt that he didn't trust me enough to tell me about this. I trusted him.

I am met with silence through. Fine if he wasn't going to start this, I would.

"Fine, why didn't the boys and I find out that you not only love looking at parents, but you also paint them and such beautiful ones too?" I ask, straight to the point. I needed to know.

"Well....its nothing personal, I swear. It is just habit. My parents hate when I do any art, thinking it isn't going to lead me anywhere. So I am use to having to hide it." Eben explained to me.

I can't help but feel like the biggest jerk on the planet. Here I thought he didn't trust me but it was because his parents didn't like him being an artist, he was forced to hide it.

"Oh my, I wish I could show your parents how talented their son really was." I tell him, and one day I will.

"Thanks Jo, but no one can change their minds." Eben said with a sigh.

"Why not? They let you come to LA." I tell him with grin, only to get a sigh from Eben. I could tell he wanted to say something but was holding back. I choose to let it go this time, not wanting to push him. Eben did trust me and that was all that matter right now.

I don't know why it matter to me so much for him to trust me, maybe it was because I was falling in love with him. And trust in a relationship was one of the most important things.

"Yeah. You're right, Thanks Jonah." Eben tells me, a smile on his face.

I smile back. "Anytime Eb, anytime."
