Zach's POV

Ring! Ring! Ring!

The five minute warning bell went off for school. Kate, Kai, and I all look at each other with grins on our faces.

"Guess it's time to get to class." Kate said with a big smile on her face. We all paused for a moment before breaking into laughter, while shaking our heads no.

"Yeah right! Come on let's go." Kai said, turning on the heel of his black biker boot and leading the way out of school.

"Where do you three think you're going?" Mrs. Kelly asked, hands on her hips, glare in her green eyes.

I sigh and roll my own brown eyes. "Where does it look like? Jeez even with glasses on you're still blind." I tell her, sneering.

Kate and Kai chuckling at my comment, while Mrs. Kelly looked ready to explode. She doesn't get the chance to though because we were already gone.

"Finally out of prison." Kate cried out when we made it outside.

I couldn't help but playfully shove her. "We weren't even there five minutes."

"Still too long." Kate complains.

"Fred's Pizza or Butch's Bar alley?" Kai asked.

"Hmm, I could go for some pizza and then we can chill in the alley later." I plan out.

"Sounds good to me." Kai said while Kate nods her head.

With that decided we made our way to Fred's.

"Shouldn't you be in school?" Jazz asked us. She was a single parent mom that worked here at Fred's but was still pretty hip.

"When are you going to stop asking us that, isn't it getting old?" I ask her. It was true, she asked that every time we came here when we skipped school, so about 3 times a week.

"When you actually are in school like the good kids I know you can be." Jazz said with a wink of her eye.

"You hope too much." I tell her.

"Nope," she said while popping the 'p', "just need the right motivation."

I huff. "Yeah okay."

"You guys having your usual?"

"Yup." Kate said, as we walk to our booth in the back.

Our pizza coming fast since we were the only ones there, they were always packed when school was out. We ate our large half pepperoni, half sausage pizza, paid, and went on our merry way to our alley.

"To smoke in peace." Kai said, lighting up as soon as we leaned against the brick wall.

Kate snickered and took a pack out, holding it out for me to take one. Right when I was about to, a voice behind me spoke.

"Horrible habit." A male said. I knew that voice though and turned around quickly, shocked.

There he stood, the old man from ten years ago. He was smiling lightly and was wearing a white robe.

"Get lost old man." Kate growled out.

"Not before I talk to Zach."

"You know this old bat?" Kai asked me.

I shake my head, clearing it out and getting out of my shocked state. "Yeah, I will talk to you later."

Before Kate or Kai could say anything I walk away from them and lead the old man somewhere else.

"Nice friends you got there." The old man commented.

"Yeah yeah, are we here to talk about my friend choices or my destiny?"

"Straight to the point. Okay fine, you will find what you're looking for in LA." The man said with a wink, before just like that he was gone.

LA? Hmm okay.
