Jack's POV

What was I going to do? Usually I hung out with Corbyn, but he was on campus today for his first day of school. Jonah went on another run, man that boy loved to exercise.

Daniel went with Zach to a famous bakery in LA, Zach wanting to try out some of the pastries there and see if he could make anything just as good. I knew he could, that dude was a master in the kitchen.

I would hang out with Eben but he went to a art gallery to check out some artist's painting. I guess he was a really big fan of that person's art. Which lead me to what the heck was I suppose to do?! I was so bored.

I was laying on the couch in the living room, blankly staring at the tv...which wasn't even turned on.

"Why hello there Jack." Mr.Ferguson called out as he walked into the living room. It's been a while since I saw him.

"Hi." I sigh out.

"Bored?"

"Extremely!" I cries out, pouting.

Mr.Ferguson laughs, "Well have you checked out the back yard yet?"

"Yeah...well some of it, it's so big!" I explain.

"Ahh, well have you been to the small pond?"

I nod my head yes. I loved that pond, it was so peaceful and nice. Sometimes I would catch Eben there drawing it. I liked to go there and watch the fish and frogs.

"Well if you go there and look to the right you will see a pathway, which will lead you to a huge garden-" Mr.Ferguson tried to explain but I cut him off.

I sat straight up with a grin. "Garden!"

"Yes...well it could be a garden, I haven't had the time to plant anything." Mr.Ferguson said with a sad sigh.

"I can plant some things." I say, excited. Finally! Something to do.

"That would be great Jack."

"How do I know I have the right path?" I ask, getting up from the couch. The yard was so big, it was easy to get lost if I took a wrong turn.

"A white tall archway will be at the beginning of the path." Mr.Ferguson explained.

I nod my head in understanding. "Thank you!" I cry out while running to mine and Corbyn's room, to get my shoes.

Once I had them on, I book it to the back yard, heading straight for the pond. One I get there I turn to the right and look for the pathway. There were three, only one had an archway through.

I smile and walk down that pathway for about five minutes, before coming to a whole pretty clearing. I could tell there was rich soil here and couldn't help but smile and laugh with joy.

Yes, this is perfect! I can make another small pond there, plant rose's bushes there, apple trees there, orchids there, pansies there, daisy's there, a willow tree can go there.

I begin to mentally put everything I wanted wherever in this clearing. It was so big, I could do a little bit of everything. This is going to be so cool. I wonder if Mr.Ferguson has any tools?

I turn around and head back to the house. When I get there I search the whole house for Mr.Ferguson but come up empty handed. Dang, he sure knows how to dissapeared!

"Looking for something?" Mr.Roberts asks.

"Yes, do you have any gardening tools?" I ask, my hands shoved in my pant's pocket.

"Yes, they are in the light blue shed, behind the house."

"Thank you!" I cry out before taking off again.

I go back outside and to the shed. I open it up and gasp at the selection of gardening tools I see. I get all the tools I will need to make the ground soft and ready to plant things inside it. I load all the tools onto a wheelbarrow and head back out the the clearing.

Once there, I take another look around and see my mental garden instead of the plain boring grass. This is going to be fun! I grin before getting to work.

Later

"Hey! We still on for movie night?"~Corbs

Oh shit! I look up from my phone and around seeing it was dusk. I have been out here all day. I got halfway done with the ground and will be able to finish it tomorrow, meaning the day after that I can go plant shopping!

But right now, I had a movie to get to. I smirk to myself before loading all the tools back into the wheelbarrow and heading back. I drop the tools back off into their rightful places in the shed before heading inside the house.

I catch my reflection in a mirror and freeze. There is no way I was greeting Corbyn this dirty. I run to our room and take a wet washcloth to my face and hands before changing.

There! Much better. I smile as I run down stairs to the living room. Corbyn already had everything set up.

I didn't think my smile could get any bigger but it did. "Hope I didn't keep you waiting long." I say.

Corbyn smiles and shakes his head, his pale blue eyes bright. "Nope, not at all."

"Good." I say before settling down onto the couch by him.
