Jack's POV
"It's me Jack."
The wizard! I rush to the door and open it, the old man's gentle smile there.
"Hi." I breath out, shocked to see the man.
"Had a feeling you weren't doing so well."
I sigh and look down. "Yeah not so much."
"Well I know what will cheer you up, help calm down all your nerves." The wizard said.
My eyes lit up. "What?" I ask, needed a distraction. Maybe this will help lead me to my destiny!
"Go to the the pond and instead of taking the path to your garden, take the one to the right of it. It will lead you to a yellow door. When you go through you will be taken to a magical garden from my world called Magicae. The garden there is sad and in ruins. No one has restored it to it's formal glory in over three hundred years, but I know you can."
"Whoa!" I say, unable to wrap my head around the idea. But it made sense in a way. The wizard had to be from somewhere. The garden would help me ease my nerves and calm myself down. It was worth a try!
"I will do it." I say, tone firm. My eyes narrowed in determination. It was going to be hard work but if it just needed to be restored at least I wasn't starting from scratch like I was doing to the garden here.
"I knew I could count on you! But be warned, it is a magical garden. It can make your deepest dreams come to life....but also your deepest fears. You must be careful." The old man warned me.
"I will be." I promise him, itching to start. I would start tomorrow morning, right now I had to rest.
"Take care child." The wizard said before disappearing in a burst of light.
Morning
I was already on the pathway to the yellow door, it only being five in the morning, even Jonah wasn't up yet. Everyone still deep in the dream world.
"This must be it." I say out loud to myself.
I had reached a dead end, a yellow door in what appeared to be a giant green bush at the end. I take a deep breath and then twist the door handle, opening the door.
A puff of dust seems to burst out as the door opens, wow it's been awhile since anyone used this door. I open it all the way and step inside.
Jeez, the wizard wasn't kidding. This garden was horrible looking. The plants and grass all dead and everything was torn up. It looked like a tornado hit it! This was going to take longer than I thought.
Better get started. I walk around the garden getting a feel for it and seeing how big it was before I actually start.
It was probably about noon time when I stopped, needed a break. I had cleaned up most of it and just had to start restoring the plants. My mind filled with Corbyn the whole time I was working.
Why did he want to know if I had a crush? Did he like me back? Happiness filling me at the thought. Could it be possible for Corbyn and I to be together? What about my destiny? Doubt filling me.
"Jack?" I hear the voice's of my dreams call out.
I turn around shocked. "Corbyn! What are you doing here?"
"I had to talk to you. Am sorry about last night. I just wanted to know..because well um..." Corbyn trails off, biting his lip, nervousness filling his pale blue eyes.
I step closer to him. "What?" I ask, needing him to tell me. It sounded like he was going to confess to me. My heart beating a mile a minute at the thought.
