A Sonadow Christmas

December 25th (Christmas)

POV: Sonic

"Sonic, wake up! It's Christmas!" Tails exclaimed as I was shot awake by the sudden loudness. "Tails, it's 7 in the morning, go back to sleep," I say groggily, as I lay myself back in bed.

"Yeah, I think it's time to get up Sonic." I begin to sit up again at that voice. "Shadow, not you too... fine Tails, you win," I say as I slowly make my way out of Shadow's grip and sit up at the edge of the bed. "Come on Shadow, you wanted me up also." I tap my foot on the floor as I wait for him to budge. "I'm waiting..." I say in my snarky voice as I smirked at him. He returned an all too familiar smirk as he nodded and got up.

As I put on my slippers and make my way out of my room, Tails grabbed my hand and started to pull me down the stairs. "Tails, what's the... OH MY GOD." I exclaimed as I see a heap of presents next to and under the tree. Tails' eyes lit up as he ran to the nearest present with his name on it and started tearing into it. I chuckled as Manic threw a present at me.

"Go long dude." He exclaimed as he threw it across the room. Luckily, I caught it before it hit the window. I immediately tore open the wrapper, not realizing who it was from. I held up the new Christmas sweater in delight. It was red and white with small bells lacing the sleeves and collar. "Who got me this?" I questioned, since I tore the paper.

"I did." Tails raises his hand proudly as he walks over to me and hugs me. "Merry Christmas Sonic."

"Merry Christmas little buddy," I say as I hug him back. I glance over towards Shadow, who seemed lonely so I walked over to him after me and Tails stopped hugging. "What's wrong Shads, aren't you having fun?" I say as he looks at everyone opening their presents. "I'm fine Sonic, it's just... this is the first time I've ever spent Christmas with someone, not alone..." he says as his ears go down. He looks so cute at the moment that I couldn't stop myself from kissing him, even though everyone was watching.

It was a quick kiss, but just long enough to make him blush a deep crimson red. "Well, that's nothing to be sad about Shadow because now, you're part of this family. So that means you can always spend Christmas with us. Besides, I'll give you your present later~" I say seductively, which makes him, along with me, blush once again.

"Thank you, thank you all for this wonderful Christmas." He says to all of us, which makes us all smile at him.

After a while, it became time for dinner. Shadow said that he'd cook tonight, and to not let anyone; including me, go into the kitchen until he's finished. I was excited as my stomach started to growl since I haven't eaten all day. Soon enough though, he called us all in. And man, we were in for a good time.

The aroma was just as irresistible as the sight (besides Shadow) of the food. It was like a buffet with all of the different foods. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, and more. It was all delicious in every way. "Shadow, I didn't know you were such a good cook." Mom complimented Shadow, who bowed like a chef. "Thank you, I've always been fascinated with trying to make the best food I can."

"Oh great, you struck his ego mom," Sonia muttered as we all rolled our eyes. "Yeah, well it's not as big as Sonic's." Tails said laughing. I rolled my eyes as I punched him playfully. "Very funny Tails..."

After we finished dinner, we all didn't leave the table. Not because Shadow made desert (even though he did), but that we were too full to move. The food was breathtaking, with a hint of familiarity. I can't really describe how awesome it tasted.
