A Sonadow Christmas

December 24th (The Big Day)

POV: Sonic

I have been extremely excited, almost so that I only had 5 hours of sleep last night. I really didn't care though, mostly on account that I'm going to have my first ever Christmas party in a few hours.

After everyone had arrived, the day had been going smoothly now. Since the snow hadn't melted yet, I asked Shadow to chaos control everyone here. I got him to agree after about an hour of begging, and after a while, everyone was here.

I was in the other room talking to Shadow when Knuckles and Amy walked over to me. "Sonicku~ I see you're under the mistletoe~," she says as she comes closer to me, perking her lips. I tried to back up until I had backed up into the wall. I looked at the corner of my eye at Shadow, who smirked subtly, as I made a face at him that said "help me."

Right when her lips almost touched mine, someone grabs me and kisses me. I knew exactly who it was so I kissed back. We had to cut it short though, mostly because everyone was watching us. I pulled away from the ebony hedgehog as everyone; even Silver and Blaze, gathered around us. "Hehe... thanks for saving me babe..." I say as we both blush even more.

"B-Babe?!?" Everyone exclaimed, especially Amy. "A-Are you two...t-together?" she hesitated. I and Shadow nodded as he grabbed my hand. "I didn't want you to figure this out this way. We've only been dating for a day now. I wouldn't be surprised if you think about me differently..." I put my ears down as I walked into the other room, only to be stopped by Amy who hugged me. "Sonic, why would we look at you differently? You're our friend, and we support you." I hugged her back as Shadow nodded. "Yea Sonic, you're all good." Knuckles said.

After everything settled down, we heard a faint rumbling racing closer to the house. Soon, when It reached the doorstep, I heard a knock at the door. "Bro, who's that?" Manic asked. "You'll see..." I was scared at what everybody will say, but I open the door and it was Eggman in a Santa suit, hat and all. "Merry Christmas Sonic!" he smiled and walked into the house, making his way into the kitchen for food.

Everyone looked at me wide-eyed. "Sonic, why is Eggman in your kitchen?" Knuckles looked at me. "Don't worry about it. He asked to come, and trust me. If he does anything, we'll be ready." I reassure everyone. They all nodded as we went into the living room to open presents.

After we all open each-others gifts, Shadow called me into the other room. We both get up and walk into the kitchen. "What's up Shads?" I ask him as he takes a bag. I knew that I've seen that bag before.

"I had gotten this for you a few days ago, before we were together. I still want to give it to you." I open the bag to see a new pair of shoes. They looked like mine, but also like his. They were red and black with white stripes along the sides, and I saw a button on the side of it that allows them to hover.

I immediately pulled him into my arms. When I pulled away, I gave him a huge smile. "Thanks, Shads, I love them! I'll put them on right now." I say as I begin to put on the shoes. They felt extremely comfortable, and just my size too. "They look amazing!" I say. He nods as I pull him into a kiss. He accepts the kiss and we stay like that for a few minutes, then we separated for air. "I love you so much Shadow." I panted as I hugged my lover. "I love you too."

"Ohohoho... I see a lovely couple over here." Eggman smirks as he sees us hugging across the room. We immediately broke the hug and backed away from each other awkwardly. "Don't worry, I was pretty sure that you two would get together someday. I'm actually quite happy. Now I can go all-out when I attack you." He laughs as we both roll our eyes. "Don't get too full of yourself Egg-Head." We kept going at each other for a while longer until it's time for everyone to go home.

After everybody left. It was just me, Tails, Shadow, and my mom and siblings. "Hey Manic, c-can me and Shadow-" he cuts me off as he nods. "Sure, I'll sleep on the couch." He says as I smile and yawn. "C'mon Shads, let's go to bed," I say as he follows.

Once we were ready for bed, we both got into my bed at opposite ends. I could understand why, mostly because the last time we slept in the same bed, he was drunk. But slowly we came closer and closer until Shadow was wrapped around me, purring lowly. The sound was music to my ears, which I purred in response.

"I love you Shads."

"I love you too Sonic."
