A Sonadow Christmas

December 19th (Confession)

POV: Shadow (1:04 A.M.)

As I lay on the couch, staring into the abyss that is the ceiling, I think about what happened earlier. What sonic had said keeps playing over in my mind, like there's something I need to get out of it.

"Y-You...kissed me..."

"Well, to be honest, you did a good job..."

Those two played in my mind like a broken record, and I couldn't figure out why. The part that got me the most is what sonic said after. 'Is it possible that he liked it? No...that's absurd, but maybe- Agh!' but then I realized something.

"So, you're gay..." I say to the dark blue figure standing behind me. "Um..." he blushed as he had said that. I looked at him more seriously.

"I know more than anybody that you're hiding something." I look into his emerald eyes as he blushes once more.

"Ok..." he hesitated but continued. "Ever since you've started being nice and we've become friends, I started feeling this weird feeling around you. And when you kissed me that night, I finally knew what I felt; love. I-I'm in love with you, Shadow The Hedgehog."

I looked at him with a look of both anger and confusion, which caused the cobalt hedgehog to flinch as if I was gonna hit him. This action made me feel sad, showing the total amount of trust he had in me. As much as he tried to show his trust in me, I still could always see the slight fear in his eyes. "Please don't hurt me-"

I couldn't help myself as I pulled him into a hug. He just looked so scared that if I didn't do that, he would've never talked to me again. "It's ok, Sonic. You didn't do anything wrong." I say to comfort him. "T-Thanks Shads..." he says as he nuzzles his head into my chest fur. It was a weird feeling, but it felt nice. I've never had anyone this close to me without me trying to kill them, but I was still allowing him. I stroke his quills as he slowly falls into a deep sleep, holding onto me. I smile as I hug him back and pull the covers over him and me.

"Goodnight Sonic."

8:29 A.M.

"Did we miss something?" I shot up when I heard Tails' voice right next to me. When I open my eyes, I see Tails, Sonia, and Manic staring at me. I realize what they are looking at. I look down to see Sonic still hugging my waist, muzzle in my chest fur. He honestly looked quite... cute. "Um-" I try to say until Sonic wakes up with the most innocent, cute face. He blushed as he looked up at everyone staring at us. "What is everyone doing?" he says as he rubs his eyes and yawns. "We couldn't help but notice you and Shadow snuggling on the couch all night." Tails muttered.

"Don't worry, it was nothing..." he says as he gets up and goes to get ready for the day. I just lay back down because I was still tired. "What?" Right when I say that, everyone started to walk away, leaving me to my thoughts.

For the rest of the day, I and Sonic dodged all of the questions asked to us about this morning.
