Chapter 25

|Kol's POV|
I've been out driving all day to collect errands for Caroline. She gave me a list to pick up a few things. She told me to get groceries, essentials, and most importantly blood.

I don't mind going to the blood bank to get blood. It's the one exciting thing about this list. Of course I have to keep my blood lust in check but recently I've been doing well. I've been doing that put the blood in microwave thing that Caroline does.

It really slows down the urge but something tells me it has something to do with Davina to. When I'm around her I forget all about the blood. She means more to me then any blood in the world.

I'm heading home now with everything completed on the list. As I carry everything as fast as possible. I decided to take one of the blood bags for myself.

"Um.... is it dinner time yet?" Caroline says startling me.

"It's just one. Plus I completed all your errands for you." I say to her.

"I know and it's fine. I'm guessing your date with Davina went well." Caroline says as she looks inside the groceries bag.

"It was amazing." I admit to her honestly. I've been thinking about our date and the night we had all day.

"I'm glad you and Davina are on good terms again." Caroline says and I give her a small smile.

"Thank you Caroline." I say to her and she pats my shoulder.

"You're welcome. I'm just glad that you are back to your old self again. Four years ago you changed with a new attitude but when Davina came back into your life you changed again. You've been better." She says and I start to think.

I guess I have been better haven't I? I guess I have Davina to thank for that.

I suddenly hear a disturbing knock at the front door. I rush to open it and as I do I see Davina.

"Kol we need to talk." She says.

|Davina's POV|

I didn't really have much of a choice to come here. Kol needs to know the danger that is coming ahead

"Darling. What's wrong?" Kol asked me.

"Can I come in?" I asked him and he nods and steps aside for me to come in.

"What did you want to talk about?"He asked me as we make our way to the living room.

I'm hesitant to say but I have to tell him.

"One of the harvest girls. Monique knows about us." I admit to him and Kol's face goes into shock.

"Are you serious?" Kol asked me and I nod my head. Kol places his hand on top of his head. "How did she find out?" Kol finally asked as he continues to pace around the living room.

"She used a spell on me and she knew exactly where we were. She knows everything." I say to him. I can even feel tears coming down my face.

I can't believe this is happening right now.

"She can't tell anyone. Davina I know how much the harvest means to you but I think we...." He beings to say but I cut him off.

"No! I'm not loosing you again Kol. I'm not going through that pain again. Don't you dare say that to me." I warn him.

"Okay. Alright I won't say anything but we have to do something." Kol says trying to calm me down.

"I already gave her my captaincy." I admit bluntly to Kol but looks at me.

"You what?" He asked confused.

"I had to. If I didn't she was going to tell the regent and I was going to be out of the harvest for good." I say to him.

"Davina do you really think she is just gonna let this go. She will use this against you all the time. She's going to continue to blackmail you." Kol explained. I know she would but what choice do I really have.

If I don't do this, I will be kicked off and possibly shunned and being shunned by witches is a painful process.

"I don't have a choice Kol! What do you except me to do?" I kind of shout at him. All of this is really overwhelming me.

"I don't know." He says softly. He can tell I am feeling pretty stressed out about this. "We will figure something out." Kol says as he sits right next to me.

I place my head on his shoulder while Kol wraps his arm around me.

"I'm sorry for yelling." I suddenly say to him.

"It's alright darling." He says and we sit there together in silence for a while.
