Chapter 8

|Davina's POV|
I wake up feeling so dejected. Most of my morning's I feel fine but not this time. I also have a slight headache, maybe from the alcohol that I consumed but I didn't have many drinks. I only have one glass last night from the party.

Today is Saturday and today is actually a pretty easy day. I have to go to the harvest but I think they will let us go early. I get up from my bed and I took a shower, got dressed, and now I'm going out to get some coffee.

"Well hello again Davina." I turn my head and it's josh that is sitting right next to me on the bench.

"How do you always fine me?" I questioned him.

"Because you go to the most obvious places. Also I couldn't help but wonder how sad you look." Josh says and I didn't think anyone would notice my mood.

"It's nothing Josh. Just didn't have a good morning." I say to him.

"That's bs. You love the morning Davina. The problem is something really is bothering you and you just don't want to tell me." Josh says with a smirk on his face. He is my best friend but I don't know if I can tell him the truth. Should I?

"Okay fine. I've been feeling really.........love sick." I admit.

"Love sick? like.... you miss someone?" Josh asked and I nod my head "Hmm did you guys break up or he just went away?" Josh questions again.

"It's more of, I went away." I admit to him and Josh nods his head.

"Well why'd you leave him?" Josh suddenly asked me.

"Because..... I'm part if the harvest and I am not allowed to date a vampire." I admit and Josh eyes widen.

"You dated a vampire? Was he hot at least?" He questioned me.

"Very hot." I laugh.

"Man that sucks. I'm sorry but hey don't worry. I'm sure he understands."Josh says.

"Clearly. It was so hard seeing him yesterday at the party." I admitted.

"Okay could you at least tell me who this mystery vampire is?" Josh asked.

"Kol Mikaelson." I say.

"No way! Wasn't he part of that Family you were talking about?" Josh reminded me and I nod. "Which one was Kol again?"

"The brown hair one with brown eyes." I say to him.

"Oh now I remember. Damn Davina, he is fucking hot." Josh says and I laugh. "I can never see why you let him go." Josh says.

"I didn't want to but I had to. It against the rules." I say to him.

"Forget the rules. Look I hate to see you sad but you can't just not pretend you don't have feelings for Kol." He tells me.

"What do you want me to do?" I asked him.

"Talk to him." Josh says.

"I just remember that the Mikaelson's did invite me for dinner tonight. Maybe I can talk to him there." I say to Josh and he gives me a pretty big grin.

"Now thats more like it. Tell me how it goes. Alright?" Josh says and I nod. "Well I should let you go then. Don't want you to be late to your harvest or whatever." Josh says and I laugh.

"See you later Josh. Thank you." I say to him and I walk away.

Josh is right. There has to be another way. I maybe won't be able to be in a relationship with Kol but I can be his friend. That can work right?
