The Tale of Queen Clarion and Lord Milori

Suspense

-At dinner-

Recently there was a setback in the preparation of summer; hence Lord Milori and Queen Clarion were discussing and doing some work during dinner time

"..if we monitor the flower at this time, I think we could possibly have the meeting at the afternoon, and then a final checking at night" the Queen said looking through her documents

"That sounds like a workable plan, good job, honey" Milori said as he lightly pecked on her cheeks

"I will take care of the dishes today, you can turn in for the night first. See you later" Milori said as he took his wife's plate and his own to the basin

Crystal was finishing up her last few bites when a glare was place upon her

"Hey, you! Finish your food already. Don't dilly-dally like that" The Queen said in a tad bit of an angry voice

"Go help your father" The Queen said waving her hand to get her to wash her plate

Crystal obeyed and went to the basin

"Father" Crystal called out

Milori looked at her then looked at the table to see if the Queen was still there, she wasn't

"It's okay Sweetie, calling me Papa is fine" Milori assured his daughter

"Let me wash that for you" Milori said taking her plate and washing it

"Thank you, Papa" Crystal replied softly

A face of unhappiness is clearly seen on his daughter face; and he knew exactly why.

The Queen's new attitude bothered him as well; but he didn't want to say too much about it yet

"Crystal" Milori said gently

"How would you like a bed time story?" Milori asked

The princess nodded happily

"Great. Off you go, I will be in your room shortly" Milori said with a smile

"Okay!" Crystal said happily and flew to her room and take out the story books

*Knock*knock*

"Come in!" said Crystal

"Papa" Crystal hugged her father happily

Milori returned the hug and sat next to his daughter

"So, which story would you like to hear today?" Milori asked

"This one! "Crystal said as she pointed at the book

"This one? "Milori asked back

"Haven't we gone through this story a dozen times ?" Milori asked

"Yes, but I like it when papa said it to me. I will never get bored of this story" Crystal said beaming

"Flattering child" Milori replied as he chuckled and pat his daughter's head

"Alright, let's see.." Milori said he opened the book and began reading the story

"....and -The end" Milori finished

"Sweet dreams, young lady" Milori said getting up

"Papa" Crystal said pulling the side of his shirt

"Yes?" Milori asked caringly

"Why...is Mama so mean?" Crystal looked at her father with the eyes that resemble Clarion's look when they had to be separated due to the border rule.
