The Tale of Queen Clarion and Lord Milori

The proposal,or was it?

PREVIOUSLY..

A fairy flew to her....

It was sled.

"Sled? what are you doing here?" The Queen asked

"Queen Clarion!  I lost my ring, and now I'm trying to find it" said Sled with a worried tone

(Without the ring, winter fairies cannot cross the border as they will feel too warm)

"Oh dear! What happened?" asked the queen with concern

"I woke up late and...*sigh*..missed the Spring celebration countdown" sled said as he looked to the ground

"I removed my ring last night to polish  it before the first day of spring to, well, make it presentable  to celebrate a new season. The problem was, I procrastinated and cleaned it right before I went to sleep." Sled replied as he scratched the back of his neck

"As a result, I fell asleep before placing my ring back on my finger. By the time I woke up, the celebration will take place in less than a minute. I immediately grabbed the ring and made my way out to the border " he continued to explain

"I told myself that I wasn't going to drop it .But, as you might have guessed it, I dropped it seconds before I arrived at the border after I somehow tripped on myself. But on the bright side, I lost my ring before I went to the warm seasons, otherwise I'm a toast fairy" Sled said with a chuckle

"*sigh*...I promised Rosetta to a dance today. she's not going to be happy with me"  the fairy said  looking towards the warm season with a sad face

The Queen fairy felt bad for Sled as she know how sad he must have felt because she  too have experienced the same thing, but much worse.

"Hmm..Milori seems to be a little late; which is unusual. Now that I have a bit of time,  I could try and help Sled find his ring before he arrives" The Queen thought to herself as she looked around for any traces of her boyfriend, which she found none

"Sled, would you like me to help you find the ring?" Clarion said with a gentle voice

"With all due respect, My Queen ,I can't let you do that.  Lord Milori is gonna kill me if he finds out that I let the Great Queen of Pixie hollow (not highlighting that the Queen is the Winter Lord's lover)do such a...thing " Sled said with friendly expression, saying no, raising palms and waving them in stop or not gesture, giving refusal

"Without my crown, my power, and my status, I am just a normal fairy like every fairy here in Pixie Hollow. Besides, there's no obligation there saying a queen is unable to help other fairies ,now is there ? " stated the Queen with a calm voice as she bent down and began searching her surroundings

"But-" replied Sled

"Relax Sled. Don't stress on it. I'm doing it out of my own free will ."The queen said as she looked at the fairy with her calming blue eyes

Sled went silent .He was in awe about how down to earth the Queen is.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure Lord Milori doesn't kill you. He'll listen to me" said The Queen with a chuckle

"Wow...you're so humble, Queen Clarion" sled commented

"Thank you for your compliment, Sled. I must say, I feel  lucky to be have the opportunity to be Queen and be surrounded with wonderful fairies such as yourself" Clarion said as she looked at the clear blue sky
