I can feel something soft hitting my body.
That soft thing hit my body once again. But it was harder this time. I still refused to get up.
"Cleo!"
And the first thing I saw this morning was a pillow coming for my face.
What a nice start for today.
"Ate!"
"Sorry!
I just sighed and got up.
"Hindi ako punching bag, Ate. Please."
She laughed. "Sorry na nga eh. Agahan mo din kasi gising mo."
Napabuntong hininga na lang ako. I greeted her good morning and she did the same before leaving my room.
Today is the start of my part-time job.
I just sighed once again. My world revolves between study and work. And I got used to it.

She's already wearing her uniform as a call center agent. Luckily, her shift is during day time at hindi din masyadong maaga kaya sabay kaming nakakapag-breakfast.
"Kamusta kahapon? Did you make friends?"
Saglit akong natigilan sa tanong niya. That question seems familiar like it was the second time someone asked me that.
I shrugged. "Not really.
"Good, then.
I refused to make friends and just got contented to do things all by myself.
It's just that, I don't want to trust anyone except from my sister.
"Your job will start later, right?"
Tumango ako.
"You need to focus on your studies along with your job.
I shook my head. "I can still manage, Ate."
"Sabi ko na 'yan sasabihin mo eh," she said and I just shrugged. "But when things get harder, huwag mong pilitin ang sarili mo. The world won't pay your free online service, Cleo."
