More than one month had passed and our prelims just ended. Pasado naman ako sa lahat ng subject at walang bumaba na grade ko kaya nakahinga ako nang maluwag.
It will be a disappointment for my sponsor who granted me the scholarship if I'll fail. Well, hindi naman ako kasali sa mga top notchers and I'm on the average level.
Nasa cafeteria ako ngayon kasama si Sabrina at hinihintay namin si Anna. And guess what? They are close now, as in super close.
Mas close pa nga yata sila and I don't mind it at all. I'm having fun being with them and that's enough.
"Cleo."
"Hmm?"
"Anna texted me."
Tumingin ako kay Sabrina at nakitang nakatingin siya sa cellphone niya. Pinabasa niya sa akin iyon at napakunot noo ako. Anna said that she needed to go somewhere so she can't meet us here.
Naramdaman ko namang nag-vibrate ang phone ko. And when I looked at it, nakita kong pati ako ay tinext ni Anna.
"She's skipping lunch? That's unhealthy," komento ni Sabrina at nilapag ang phone niya sa lamesa.
I shrugged. "Yeah. Pero baka kakain din iyon mamaya."
Tumango-tango na lang siya. Tinapos na namin iyong kinakain namin pero nanatili pa din kami sa cafeteria. We were talking about random things when someone suddenly sat beside me.
Pareho kaming napatingin kay Zeus and as usual, malawak na naman ang ngiti niya. Nothing changed on him in the past month and I think, that's better.
"Ginagawa mo dito?"
He pouted and acted like he was hurt. "Aray ko naman, Elizabeth. Ayaw mo bang nandito ako?"
Binabawi ko na pala iyong sinabi ko. Nothing changed on him and he's still the crazy sea creature I know, which is very very annoying.
"You want me to bring you to the clinic?" Sabrina jokingly asked but Zeus just shook his head.
"Hindi na. Nandito din naman gamot ko."
I made a face when he glanced at me. Tumawa lang siya at sinabing bibili lang siya ng lunch niya. When we were left alone, napatingin ako kay Sabrina.
She's smiling and I know it's real. Sinabi niya sa akin noon that she'll keep pursuing Zeus not until he tells her that he likes someone else.
Pero sana huwag daw iyon makaapekto sa pagkakaibigan namin. I was confused at first while she's saying those things. But I just agreed.
"He's so cute when he acts like that," she said and giggled.
Pinigilan kong mapangiwi. "Buy an eyeglass."
She glared at me and I just chuckled and shrugged. Napabuntong hininga naman siya at tumingin kay Zeus na nakapila sa counter.
Tinititigan niya ito habang nakangiti. I totally winced. She's really head-over-heels to him, huh?
What a lucky shokoy.
"Hay. What a perfect guy," she said with a smile.
"He's gay, not guy."
Sinamaan niya ako ulit ng tingin kaya natawa na lang ako. Mas lalo pa akong natawa nang magsalita na siya ng Tagalog, which is rare for the Aguilar siblings.
"Panira ka talaga!"
"Why? What she said was true tho."
Sabay kaming napatingin sa lalaking nagsalita at umupo sa tabi ko. It was Slade and he's also smiling.
