Chapter 26: Betray

I can't be wrong. Kahit hindi pa siya napakilala sa akin ni Zeus o hindi ko pa siya nakita ng personal, alam kong siya si Winslet Lee.

I already searched her name online and saw what she looks like. I just forgot about her for the past months.

"Excuse me po, Ate."

Halos mapapitlag naman ako nang may magsalita sa likuran ko. While still sitting on the high stool, I looked back.

And Winslet was standing there.

I gulped and tried to smile. "Yes?"

"U-uhmm...may itatanong lang po sana ako," she said and glanced at my sling bag. "That bag, saan niyo po 'yan nabili? May binigyan din po kasi ako ng bag na ganyan din po ang design. But that bag was especially designed for that person so I was wondering kung bakit meron din po kayo."

Hindi ako kaagad nakasagot at napatingin sa bag ko na nakapatong sa katabi kong stool. That's when I realized that I didn't buy this bag but someone gave it to me. It was one of the things she gave me when she sent a package to our former house.

"N-not unless you are that person."

I looked at her and saw her hopeful expression. Alam kong iniisip na niyang ako si Lady Blue and I guess I can't deny that right now.

Magsasalita na sana ako nang pumasok bigla si Ate at tinawag naman si Winslet ng mga kaibigan niya.

"Cleo," Ate Ria said and glanced at her, "may kausap ka?"

I nodded and looked at Winslet who is still looking at me with hope in his eyes.

"Ate, magkita na lang tayo mamaya sa entrance," sambit ko at bumaba mula sa stool. "I'll call you."

Ate Ria frowned but also nodded. "Okay."

Tumingin ako kay Winslet at nagpaalam naman siya sa mga kaibigan niya. I smiled at her and motioned her to come with me.

Kinuha ko na din iyong iniinom ko dahil sayang naman. Sumunod naman siya sa akin kaagad at ramdam ko na nagpipigil siya ng ngiti. I can feel her excitement even if I haven't confirmed anything yet.

Lumabas kami ng mall at tumigil malapit sa parking lot, where there are only few people. Tinapon ko na sa basurahan iyong iniinom ko dahil ubos naman na.

I looked at her. "So, you are Zeus' cousin? Winslet Lee?"

She didn't answer me and her eyes widened. Napalunok naman ako at napaatras sa gulat nang bigla siyang humiyaw at tumalon payakap sa akin.

"I knew it! The moment I saw you, I already know that you are Lady Blue! I knew it!"

Luckily, no one was near and seems to hear what she said. Humiwalay naman siya kaagad sa akin at parang nahihiya pang tumingin sa akin.

She kept smiling though.

"I'm sorry. Na-excite lang po ako kasi fan na fan niyo po ako."

"Nasabi nga sa'kin ni Zeus," I said and sighed. "And I think, I should be the one apologizing to you. Pasensya ka na kung hindi ako nakipagkita sayo noon."

"Okay lang po. Kuya Zeus explained that you can't because of some personal reasons," she said then giggled. "But if you are really sorry po, you can pay me with a hug."

Natawa na lang ako sa cuteness niya. I spread my arms and she giggled once again before hugging me.

Mahigpit ang yakap niya sa akin kaya napangiti ako. I hugged her back and felt like something inside me was lifted. I guess the Lees can really brighten up someone's mood in just a snap. It runs in their blood.
