Chapter 35

"Jeno-oppa, have you talked to Jaemin lately?" Haejin asked Jeno who was seated in front of them. 

Haejin, Jeno, Irene, Yeri, Ningning and Donghyuck are currently having their lunch. Originally, there were just five of them, but they happened to see Jeno in the restaurant they're currently in.

Jeno shook his head, "It's been a while since he last called us." He said and placed his chopsticks down. He tried to recall the last time Jeno called him. "I think the last time he called me directly was when he asked how to debug a program. But after that, we talked through the other hyungs' phone." He looked at Haejin, "Why did you ask?"

Haejin took a deep breath before answering, "He hasn't contacted me for a while, too."

All of them became silent because of what Haejin said.

Ningning suddenly snapped her fingers, "Ah! Haejin-ah, aren't they developing a game right now? Renjun-ge told me about it." She said and Haejin nodded. "Maybe they're just busy?"

"Ningning is right," Jeno nodded. "As if you don't know how Jaemin works, especially when chasing a deadline."

"Jisung-ah, kindly disconnect all of your devices!" Jaemin yelled as he stormed into Jisung and Renjun's shared room, wherein he saw the younger wearing his headphones while playing some sort of games in his phone. "Yah!" He said and threw the slipper towards him.

"Hyung?!" Jisung exclaimed as he caught the slipper. "Why throw a slipper all of a sudden?!"

Jaemin sighed and pouted, "Jisung-ah~ I told you to disconnect for a while, right?" With lots of aegyo, he ran towards Jisung, only to treat him as a child. "I told you that I have an upcoming test in programming, didn't I?" 

Jisung could not breathe because Jaemin was tickling him, "S-Stop already! Fine, I'll disconnect my device already so stop tickling me!"

As soon as Jisung said that, Jaemin immediately hopped off his bed and shoot him finger hearts, "I love you Jisung-ah~" he said and ran downstairs, where he saw Haejin talking to her brother. "Oh, hi Haejin-ah!" 

Haejin just waved as Jaemin rushed back to his table to begin the test.

"What was that?" Haejin was shocked upon seeing Jaemin walk past her. Normally, Jaemin would sit beside her and pester her all day long, but today was different,

"Welcome to our dorm," Jeno said while making a sandwich for himself. "He doesn't talk to anybody every time he has tests or is rushing something."

Haejin sighed and could only continue eating.

Jaemin hasn't contacted him for almost a week now, and it's starting to worry her. Normaly, Jaemin sends her a message when he can't call for quite a while and tells her the reasons so Haejin won't worry. But now, she didn't receive anything at all.
