Chapter 24

"Why do you look so happy today?" Xiaojun asked the moment Jaemin entered the office. The guy had a huge smile on his face and even if he smiles at people when he gets greeted or called, his smile today was unusual.

Jaemin sat on his swivel chair and smiled, "i'm just happy today, hyung. Why, is that a bad thing?"

"I'm gonna take a guess, it's either a Haejin thing or a Haejin thing," Jaemin did not respond and Xiaojun already knew that he was right. "Why, what happened?"

"Hyung, she's here... together with some of our friends." Jaemin cheered. "They're all staying at Hendery-hyung's house, too, and I don't know how long have they been planning this but I'm super happy." He smiled and began typing on his laptop.

Xiaojun nodded, "No wonder, you're so happy." He ruffled the younger's hair. "Ah, I wish I had a love life."

December 23. London, England.

Although they had their tickets booked online, they weren't expecting the people waiting for their turn for London Eye. It was almost noon, and despite the sun's radiating light, they were still feeling cold.

"We're next in line!" Hendery cheered and looked at his friends. Some of them were busy taking photos of each other, and by some, he means Mark, Jeno, Donghyuck and Jisung.

"Ungrateful brat!" Donghyuck hit Jisung with his scarf. "Compare the photo you took to mine, see the difference!" He said, still offended that Jisung just captured the photo of his eyes.

"You guys, shut it and let's go!" Jaemin gestured them to follow him. "These people really have no shame..."

Mark snickered, "They bicker regardless of the time and place."

They entered the cabin, and Haejin immediately rushed near the window. It started moving and she saw her brother trying to divert his attention to something else.

"Mark are you okay?" Haejin asked her brother who was holding onto the railings tight.

Their friends noticed Mark's slight discomfort and looked st each other. "Mark-hyung, we told you not to go here, aish!" Donghyuck said playfully which made Mark roll his eyes.

The eldest among them sighed, "Just shut up, Donghyuck." He pressed his lips into a thin line. "And I-I'm..." he closed his eyes shut. "...slowly overcoming my fear of hights."

"Overcoming, my foot." Hendery snorted. "What's that?!" He pointed downwards, and the others looked at where he pointed.

Which was a wrong move for Mark, because they were already way above the ground. "Fuck you." He spat, which made his friends in the cabin laugh.

The cabin was huge, and there were other people with them in the ride. But even so, they were absorbed in their own world.

Haejin looked at the view, and she couldn't be more astonished. She took her phone out and captured a photo of the view.

She looked at Jaemin, who had his arm around her shoulder. "The view is better at night," he said. "When we still have time, we'll visit st night."
