Chapter 17
"Oh my gosh, Na Jaemin, you won't dare..." Haejin paced back and forth as she waited for Jaemin to pick up the phone.
She won't get her hopes up, though. Basing on the video Yangyang showed them, Jaemin won't have the guts to face her—except if he's really that dumb and thick-faced.
The line stopped dialing and she immediately looked at her phone. He picked up.
"Jaemin?!" She stood up and started pacing back and forth. "Na Jaemin???"
"Why do you sound mad? Is everything alright?" Haejin could hear some rustling from the other line.
"I think you could answer that yourself." She clenched her fist. "I don't want to think about anything that I won't like Jaemin-ah... so the video... what was the video about..." A tear escaped her eyes. "What are you exactly doing in London, Love?"
"Haejin—" She quickly wiper her eyes. "That..."
"I—" before she could continue, she heard someone knock on the door. "Don't hang up, I'll just go and see who knocked." She stood up and went towards the door, with her other hand still holding the phone against her ear.
If this was the landlady, she would not hesitate to curse because she had paid for the month's rent already.
"That video was from last week, during a colleague's farewell party," Haejin's throat became dry. "I made Yangyang show that." Jaemin chuckled.
The guy in front of Haejin chuckled.
Jaemin chuckled.
Jaemin chuckled.
He ended the call and placed his phone in his pocket. He smiled at the girl in fromt of her, "Hi love, how have you been?"
Tears started to fall from her eyes as she threw herself to Jaemin.
"A-Am I not dreaming?" She looked at the guy. "You're here, right?"
Jaemin chuckled and placed a kiss on her forehead, "I'm really here..." He smiled and held her hands. "So, am I forgiven?"
Haejin wiped her tears away and nodded.

"Why did you not tell me that you were coming home?" Haejin pouted. "I was even caught in a set up. I really hate you guys, including Mark."
She rolled her eyes, "I can't believe he lied to me! And he even pulled his acting card, I really hate it..." She hugged the pillow that was on the couch.
"I made them do it..." He smiled and drank his coffee. "Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to ignore you that long?" He frowned. "I had to do all of my works finished before filing a leave."
"And I also have to return for my report." He explains. "There's this initial report that I have to pass to Jihoon-hyung."
"I still hate you, though."
"Oh shut up, I know you don't."

"Jaemin hyung!" Jisung and Chenle ran towards him and engulfed him in a hug. "Hyung, I can't believe I'm saying this but we missed you—a lot." Jisung said.
"I missed you guys too." The eldest among the three chuckled.
"Are you with Haejin?" Chenle asked and Jaemin shook his head.
"I just dropped her off earlier." He said. "And you guys, what brings you here?" He asked. "Aren't you supposed to be at Skyline, Jisung-ah? And Chenle, aren't you supposed to be with Mark-hyung?"
Chenle sat on the couch and crossed her arms, "Yah, hyung it's the first time after a while that you're here and you're pushing us away? Unbelievable." He prressed his lips into a thin line.
Jisung also crossed his arms and huffed, "Unbelievable."
Jaemin could only shrug at the two's attitude. "Whatever." He sat on the couch which is across the two, "Do they know that I'm here already?"
Jisung nodded, "Jaehyun hyung was the one who told us. He said that you arrived last night."
Before Jaemin could reply, someone knocked on the door. And Jaemin could already tell that it's one of their friends. "Jaemin, my man!"
The tall guy hugged Jaemin and the latter could only laugh, "Lucas-hyung, I missed you too!" He chuckled.
Behind Lucas were Yangyang, Taeil and Renjun.
"Let's get this party started!"
"What party?"
"Celebration or homecoming, duh?" Renjun rolled his eyes.
"Oh my god, Haejin's gonna be so mad..."
***
"What in the world..."
Jisung running away from Renjun was the first thing Haejin saw when she arrived at the apartment. The younger was holding a water gun and even without context, she knew that Jisung did something that's why Renjun's shirt was wet.
"Hi Love!" Jaemin waved and went towards her to help her with the grocery bags she was holding. He noticed that Haejin looked surprised (but not really) at the scene that was unfolding in front of her. "I tried to stop them, but they never listen..."
Haejin could only nod because honestly speaking, it's a normal-but-not-so-normal sight to see.
Jaemin could only laugh as he oressed a kiss on her forehead. "Let's go and eat?" He said and pulled her to the living room. "Those guys have eaten already but I waited for you."
"Thank you..." She smiled and sat sat on the chair.
The guys were making a mess in the living room, and the couple wonders, since when did their apartment become this huge?
"Are you alright? You're not talking much..." Jaemin said, genuinely worried.
Haejin nodded and smiled weakly, "Just a bit tired, I guess?" She sighed and stood up, "I'll just go get water."
He does not respond and just looked at her worriedly.
Everything was going well until Jaemin suddenly stood up, Jisung suddenly yelled, and Mark immediately ran towards the dining room.
Haejin collapsed
