Chapter 32

April 27. Seoul, South Korea.

It's been a year and eleven days since Jaemin and Haejin started dating, and after the commotion that had happened last February, everything went back to normal. Everything, except for Mark.

Even if Jaemin had already cleared his side, Mark was still feeling uneasy. Jaemin is his friend, but Haejin is his little sister. He doesn't want to see his sister cry because of someone ever. Jinhyung-hyung and I are the only ones who can make her cry! He thought and smiled a bit, remembering the times wherein they would tease Haejin the whole day.

Jinhyung is the eldest among the Lee siblings. He lives in Canada with their parents, while Haejin and Mark are in Korea.

"Oh, you're here." Mark looked behind him, only to see Taeil approaching him. "Your boss just dropped off some files earlier. He was looking for you but I didn't know where you were earlier." He said and sits beside Mark who was seated on the railings of the porch. "Is something wrong?"

Mark shrugged, "I don't know, hyung..." He sighed and looked away. "Ever since Hendery told us those things, and even if Jaemin already talked to us about it, I don't know... I still... feel really uneasy."

Taeil patted his shoulder, "I know that you're worried about your sister, but I'm pretty sure that she knows what she's doing." He said and ruffled Mark's hair. "And just trust Jaemin! Our boy won't do such a thing..."

Mark nodded, "I know that with all my heart, hyung... that's why I don't want to believe it either!"

"It's been a few months, and a few months more before Jaemin returns." The older said. "But I don't think that it's just that you're thinking of."

The Canadian frowned, "Donghyuck is not talking to me. Ever since the encounter from Haejin's apartment... when I accidentally yelled at him." He sighed. "I also screwed up by yelling at my bestfriend... and even if it pains me to admit it, I miss that son of a bitch already."

"I visited you guys and brought food as your friend and hyung, not as a counelor." Taeil facepalmed. "The two of you live under the same roof yet you aren't talking? How the heck did you guys survive?"

"With the help of Jeno and Jisung, of course." Mark sighed, for the nth time. "What am I gonna do, hyung?"

"Talk to him. That simple." Taeil said. "And you shouldn't be including friends in your wrath!" He smacked Mark's head.

April 26. London, England.

"Jaemin-ah, you have another letter..." Hendery entered the house with an envelope in his hands. But to his surprise, Jaemin went outside to chase the mailman who delivered it.

To his dismay, the man who was riding the motorcycle already got away. He just sighed and went back inside. "Thanks, hyung." He said when Hendery gave him the envelope.

He went straight to his room and sat on his bed. It was the same textured envelope and same rose gold seal with the emblem of a star. Everything about the letter was still the same, but somehow, it feels odd. Like, we have today's modern technology, but this person still writes letters and uses wax seals.

Don't get me wrong, not that I don't appreciate hyung's effort, it just feels really odd.

With a heavy heart, he decided to open it.

Jaemin-ah,

Knowing that you managed to close the deal with a huge company in London made me proud. I've always been proud of you, no matter what you do. I still hope that one day, you will find the heart to forgive us. Although I understand if you're mad at us.

I know that you didn't live an easy life, that's why I'm really happy seeing you successful. You're one of the masterminds behind the greatest games in South Korea, if not, the whole world. And I'm sure that our parents are proud of you, too. Even your adoptive parents are proud of you, because the child who kept on crying when he was a child is now a man who makes everyone cry because of the games he create >.<

Jaemin didn't know why he was crying. Instead of hate and anger like how he usually feels upon seeing the letters sent by his sibling. Even when he's with Haejin, he's been longing for them... and it's been so long that it hurts him.

He doesn't want to admit it but he wants to be with them. Deep inside his heart, he was confused, whether to forgive them that easily or not.

My brother, I hope that you'll always be happy! I don't know when will I be able to send the next letter, so I hope that you understand. I'm not sure if you read the letters I send you. At this point, I can just write anything I want in these letters but my guts are telling me to just tell you what I feel.

Keep safe always, and I love you bro.

Sincerely,

Your brother.

April 28. Seoul, South Korea.

"What are you thinking of?" Haejin looked around to see Mark standing by the door. He was holding two cans of sodas, and he was offering the other can to Haejin.

She opened it and sighed, "I don't know... I might be dumb sometimes but I'm not oblivious..." She stared at the night sky and drank from her can. "Ever since the incident with Nana, I felt that some of you had drifted away from him, and I don't want to see that..."

Mark patted her shoulder, "I'm sorry if I also doubted him... I'm just worried about you..." He said and smiled at her. "But Jinjinnie, I know that Jaemin can't do that."

"I know." Haejin nodded. "But sometimes, I also have some 'what ifs' in my mind." She said and drank from her soda. "What if he really did it, and what if you guys were right?" Haejin looked at her brother, "It sounds impossible, but Mark, what if..."

She looked away and wiped the tears that were forming in her eyes, "What if he really found someone new? Someone better than me?"

"Why are you thinking of that?" Mark sighed and scooted closer. "You said it yourself. Jaemin could not do it. You know that."

She sniffed, "I know that..."

"It's going to be alright, Haejinnie..."
