Chapter 33

May 1. Seoul, South Korea

"Oh my gosh, Haejin-ah you did it!" Yeri exclaimed as Haejin went out of their CEO's office. Haejin had a huge smile on her face as she hugged the manuscript that she was holding.

Haejin hugged her, "Finally, unnie!" She said and smiled brightly when they broke from the hug. "My dream with Jaemin is finally coming to life..."

Ningning rushed towards her and gave her a hug, "Haejinnie!" She said like a kid, "I'm so proud of you! You'll be one of our very own authors soon!" Ningning smiled. "Have you told Jaemin-oppa already?"

Haejin shook her head, "Not yet. He's still asleep." She said and chuckled. "I still could not believe that my own book will be released on August 19..." She said, almost teary-eyed.

"Let's all have a feast tonight!" Irene suddenly exclaimed. They all looked at her because she isn't the type of person who initiates feasts. Sighing, "Fine, my treat."

"Now that's what I'm saying!" Donghyuck punched the air and laughed. "Let's order a lot! Joohyun-noona is paying!" He laughed and dodged the punch that Irene was about to give him.

"Hyuck, you really have no shame!"

"Is that for real, love?!" Jaemin exclaimed.

Haejin called him a few minutes ago and told him that the release date of her first novel will be on August. Jaemin was extremely happy about it since he knew that it was her dream, their dream for each other.

"What are you doing?" Jaemin approached Haejin who was busy writing some words on her notebook. It was the first time he saw Haejin this engrossed in writing. "Do we have a project in literature that I don't know?" His eyes widened.

Haejin chuckled at her bestfriend's reaction, "No, silly. How could we have another project, when finals literally just ended?" She said and continued writing. "Why are you here anyways?"

"Mark-hyung is busy with the school organization, Jeno, Haechan and Renjun got detained, Chenle is absent, and I can't find Jisung." Jaemin shrugged and sat beside her. "Don't you want me here?"

Haejin frowned and rolled her eyes, "Get lost!" She gritted her teeth and glared at Jaemin when he took her notebook, "Na Jaemin!" She ran after him. There weren't a lot of people around, probably because some have their classes already.

They would probably receive lots of scolding from their professors later but Haejin couldn't careless. Jaemin should not read those texts. Ever.

Meanwhile, Jaemin continued running away from her. He just wanted Haejin's attention yet she's giving him the cold shoulder. He didn't even do anything wrong. He slowed down for a while and looked if Haejin was catching up.

To his surprise, she was indeed catching up. But instead of running, he just stood there. Her face looked like it was about to explode, and she was catching her breath. "You jerk!" She yelled and punched his chest. She snatched her notebook away and started to walk pass him.
